91 civic won't start
Cranks won't start. 91 lx dpfi. Changed ignition switch. Throwing code 15. Would start first thing in morning no problems. If I stopped and got gas wouldn't start. Wait a couple hours starts immediately. Yesterday changed brand new dizzy. Won't start at all period. Have voltage when on position from the blk/yell wire on engine harness. So once again let me explain the oddity. For past week will start right up to go to work. 8 hours later when I leave will start right up again. As soon as I get home turn off then try to start again. Just cranks. Bout to put the old dizzy back on. But maybe Ron can help. Oh and relay clicks fuel pump primes and fuel going to filter. If I crank quickly then back to off it doesn't sputter but more kaplunks. It's strange.

Re: 91 civic won't start
Have you removed the plugs? Had similar problem with my sedan a few months ago, oil would make it to the plugs and cause it to stall.... after an hour or so it would start up.

Re: 91 civic won't start
There was a little bit of oil on top of the spark plugs but nothing significant. Pulled a couple of them. Still same result. It's something with code 15. The ecu is a remanufactured one. And I read some ppl saying it's rare but could be a faulty ecu

What I can't find is the test procedure for the second plug that goes into the distributor the five wires. If there is supposed to be continuity or voltage to any or all of those wires.

Test harness. Not understanding exactly what or how they want done. I did the first part with the black yellow wire. So I need to disconnect it at ecu and just check voltage?

Re: 91 civic won't start
So I went out to do it today and the first plug only has 16 wires not 18. Sencond plug 20. Third plug 16. This is obd0. Not sure which wires should be testing

Re: 91 civic won't start
Found schematic in chilton. Checked for continuity not voltage from every wire on the second connector of the distributor to the ecu. All checks fine. I'm beginning to think maybe my ecu. I am no longer getting the fail code 15 anymore

Re: 91 civic won't start
Since no one is helping I'll start a blog but. After three days of trying and not one single start today I threw my old distributor back on. I did install a brand new one not remanufactured or junkyard. Andddddd. It started 1st time. I'm going to turn off now and see if it'll start again. Turned off. And noowwwwww. Hmm. It actually started back up. That's a first. Sooooo. I'm lost.
