Icon6 89 EF Hatch Build Thread.

hey guys an gals, startin my build thread for my hatch. I had a eg that i was going to build but got rid of it an picked up this the other week on 9/11. my idea from the start was a B series N/A but i cant leave the single cams out.(SAVE'EM!!) the issue of all the computer changing wasnt worth it i didnt want something messing up, going from obd0 to obdII jus for a b series wasnt that commiting. Sohc's make great power if done rite, vitara pistons with a 2.4 bisimoto camshaft is gonna give this motor its bragggin rites.
a d16z6;
all internals will be bought from FJdistributors.com;
using hondata s300; a holset hx35r on 18-20psi, note this will be my dd, for now ;D.
function&form type one coils, lower control arms by F&F, and a set of white diamond racing steelies 15x9 on the front, 15x8.5 onthe rear, im undesided on the color;
interior: im pickin up a set of sparco toreno seats, back will be gutted but im laying carpet down so its neat, with a white harness bar, making a box for a 8" sub where the spare tire was,,

will post some pictures of my shell as soon as i can get on a computer, iPhone wont let my put them up.

suggestions, ideas, thoughts or anything about my build let me kno i wanna hear what everyone else thinks.

When its said and done im gonna set up a meet for the mid-atlantic region in ocean city (where i live) because the only big car meet that comes here is h2o i which isnt bad but come on, theyre volkswagons lol.

hope to get some feedback thanks.

I used a d15 trans. On my Si when I put it together. I've went through 3 trannys, 2 Si's and 1 dx. As expected the dx kept me in the gears longer then the Si's. The dx trans. With a light wieght flywheel was a good combo.

i call bs on the no rust statement ....i saw the quarter in the trailer pic......do yourself a favor pull the rear interior panels and check behind the gas door and down in the rocker area i can guarantee if the quarters are rusted so are the rockers... im currently redoing mine and just figured id give you a heads up ....i stuck my hand down in the rocker channel from inside and found a business card size rust hole along with several spots in the floor pans...so i bought a roll cage.... lol......good luck with the build
