1991 crx rims, how big can I go?

Default 1991 crx rims, how big can I go?
I currently have a nice set of 15" rims but I would like to go with a different style how big can I go without it rubbing? Any thoughts!

Explain what you mean by bigger? Are you asking if you can fit 18s or are you asking if you can fit like 15x8s without rubbing?

Well I just want to put some nice rims on it without rubbing and I don't want it to look ghetto.

It's more dependent on tire size. On my EF, 205/45-16s fit fine, but 205/50-16s rub like crazy front and rear. So with a thin sidewall, you can fit 17's, maaaaybe 18's.

Anything bigger than 16's tends to lift a CRX and make it look like a 4x4. I think 15's look perfect.

i have 195/45/16's and lowered 2 inches with no problems.
15" is usually your best bet. you may be able to pull off 16".
17"+ is overkill.

That's exactly what popped up in my head. Btw, I fit 225/50/R15s easily on my CRX on some Enkei RPF1s, I think 235s will fit but I'm not positive.
