Default 1991 Civic EX sedan questions

I just picked up a wrecked 91 Civic Ex Sedan. I plan on swapping the engine/trans over into a 91 Standard Hatch. Had a few questions for you guys because there isnt much info out there on these Ex Sedans.

What transmission comes with these cars? Im guessing the DX style five speed?

Is the Ecu the same as an Si? PM6? The pinouts should be the same hopefully?

The interior is pretty mint, Is it worth anything? Do the front seats bolt into a hatch?

I know the front brakes and master cylinder are larger and I plan to change them over as well.

What size wheels came on these cars? it currently has integra 15 inchers on it now. I am hoping 14 inch crx wheels will fit over the larger brakes?

Is the exhaust Sedan specific? Bolt on to a hatch? It has a decent condition oem style exhaust on it now.

Any help will be appreciated.

It's a 5 speed, i can't remember if the gearing is the same though.

Yeah PM6

I dunno about the value, but sedan and hatch seats aren't compatible.

14's will fit fine.

The sedan exhaust is longer than the hatch, so it's not a direct swap. If you get it shortened it'll 'work' on a hatch though.

you could swap the rails off the hatch seats on to the sedan seats to get them to fit.
the ex's seats are nicer than the dx/lx. I mean the foam is the same, but nicer fabric.
I think the transmission is the same as the si as well.

Trans is the same 1~5 gears, but I've always read that the final drive is unique on the EX.
As I recall, it was somewhere in between the DOHC ZC and the Si (closer to the Si).
I never found an EX personally to compare, but on paper it seemed like it would have be an improvement over the Si as it gets interesting when you swap out 2~4 with the DOHC ZC gears.
The Si with ZC gears is a bit too quick through the gears and the EX F.D. seemed to fix that.

sedans, including EX, have the same 1-5 as DX/Si CRX/hatch gear ratios, except a 4.058 FD.

EX has normal DX sized diff bearings, not the larger CRX Si tranny bearings.

Ha! Tyson has the number!
So it's 3.888 for DX, LX, DOHC ZC, ...
EX - 4.058
Si - 4.25

Did ALL Si's have the large bearings?
I'm under the understanding that there are some small bearing Si's that people have found.

the answer is well documented, as well as the reasons and confusion.

and not related to this thread.
