1990 CRX DX Shell - What should I put in it?

Re: 1990 CRX DX Shell - What should I put in it?
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a noob to the scene, but I want to get this CRX running and I need YOUR help to do it. My plan is to get it rolling first (by any means necessary) and to swap something better into it later on. Any suggestions for a semi-cheap way to get this thing running? You can find a ton of info on my car at this link: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/oregon-crx-build-thread-2978112/

if you're looking for reliability i'd go with a zc swap, being that you're here in oregon not really any swap laws.
unless you're lookin to go for some real power down the road.
the way i see it is this:
stay d series, boost it, have a blast
go b series, more all motor options as well as boost. costs more though.
