Re: 1989 Honda Civic Si USDM Restore
Finally the much awaited Update on my white 1989 Si
Last week I sent the car in to my body and paint expert for some love. He did a proper color correction on the factory paint. I would like to say the results speak for themselves but clearly pictures don't do any justice. The factory paint is in unbelievable condition and you can now truly see the Pearl in this factory Polar White. I still have more detailing to do but I finally put a coat of wax on her today.
Exterior
Still need to install these along with my New molding

My god that CD player is amazing! Forgive me if I missed it, but where did you find that? I can't imagine they made very many of those.

What does a "Color correction" entail? Does he actual lay down new paint, or just sand/polish it up?

Actually it was just a simple cut and buff. The body guy said it looked like the car has never been buffed and was covered with years of dirt. Car is still OEM original. The color in person reminds me of an off white pearl similar to NH0 Champ white

cool man !
So nice to see original paint cleaned up like this !
You just added about $1000 more value to your civic by doing this.

I still have my New side molding, window trim, and rain gutters to install. The original ones are still in good shape but I figured I would replace everything while I still can.

Found the part number listed under a bunch of old stock new Honda radios that were sold last year on H-T

If you dont mind me asking do you have the part number on that cd combo? Car looks great buddy told me about a Ef that some kid only wants $200 for runs and drives so may become the new daily. It's auto but will be converted quickly if I can pick it up.
Great inspiration may have to hit you up for one of those arm rests lol
