Default *1991 CRX Project*

Ok, my starting point is my 1991 CRX si.

I plan on putting in a K20A type R motor, but since I bought an 07 Subaru Legacy GT and I'm closing on a house in December, it will be a while until I get the K20A. I'm in the Army and work 10-14 hours a day and don't get to work on my car everyday, so this will be a somewhat slow thread.

I'll start off with what I already have and what my plans are.

1991 Honda Civic CRX Si

DC2 Recaro Seats

JDM back seat

VIS SiR "style" CF hood

KYB GR-2 Shocks & Springs

Rims and tires

S2000 cluster

Steering wheel

K series Golden Eagle Pro Fuel Rail

Aeromotive FPR

Some of the stuff that I have and just haven't taken pictures of yet are;
*DS Customs speed changer (so the S2000 cluster will work)
*Full-Race crossmember/traction bars
*Buddy Club RSX short shifter
*New Carpet
*Taillights
*Keyless handles
*JDM arm rest

I'm sure I left out a lot.

I can't remember how much I payed for it 2 years ago(no more than $100), but I checked the DS Customs site http://www.dscustoms.com/s2000cluster.htm and its $170 shipped. I'll try to take a picture tonight and post it in the morning.

I've done a few things with the car;
*Red replacement Pass. side fender stripped, primed and installed.
*Headlights, corner lights and bumper lights replaced.
*I made some brackets and installed the S2000 cluster. (and did most the wiring)

You do know that your Si seats are already Recaros right? I mean, the ITR seats are pimp and all, but you could've saved that money if all you wanted was a brand.

Or, maybe you just wanted red seats.

I also welded in the brackets for the back seat.

And the seat will go in once I put in the carpet.

Yeah I know. I wanted to stay with Recaros, but I like the ITR seats more and even though they aren't the DC5s I think they'll tie in with the K20A!

Don't get me wrong, they're great seats, I will probably get some in my EM1 eventually, I just hope you didn't get bent over for them.

I won't lie, they cost me a bit, but I had the money and it was burning a hole in my pocket! I looked around and feel I got an ok deal, just under $1,000 shipped to my door, which is alot, but compared to what I've seen some going for...

Thanks! Check out the DS Customs site, it has some videos, wiring diagrams and a bunch of usefull bits! I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the speed changer last night, but when I do I'll post them on here. Also, when I find my other memory card I'll post pictures from when I wired and mounted the cluster.

Why in the hell do people keep using GR2's on lowering springs? THEY WILL BLOW OUT and they will ride like crap. Bad idea.
