Default WOULD YOU BUY FROM EBAY?

I was thinking of buying a generic dual core alluminum radiator from ebay, was wondering if it'll do alright cooling my gsr. I also was thinking of getting skunk 2 struts there. Is it really skunk 2 or a replica?

Seriously, if you live at least somewhere near an urban area try finding one
at a local chain auto parts store, often they will have one sitting on the shelf
or can have one there in a day or two or sometimes less. You may or may not
pay more, but some places have a no-questions-asked free replacement
warranty.
Try getting that from a random Ebay vendor.

Here is an example. I literally call around for a radiator this morning because
I noticed mine is leaking.
NAPA wanted $89 for a single core aluminium ratiator with a defect only
warranty.

Advance Auto Parts wanted $91, same kind of radiator, but it comes with a
"if it breaks for any reason we will replace it for free" warranty.

How many vendors on Ebay can offer that?

I myself also have a Half size aluminum dual core radiator in my Civic. No problems what so ever. $35 plus shipping wasn't hateful on the wallet either

ebay dual core rads are good bets

skunk 2 struts on ebay... they have to say genuine skunk 2 struts and nothing "replica" in the notes, do your research

its the original. still for the point of it a dual core half rad from mishimoto can be had for cheap with the fan and a warranty in case something should go wrong.

it'll say replica if they were and probably wouldn't even use the name skunk2. legal things and what not.

I have purchased a great deal of items off of Ebay in the last 3 years and had little to no problems with them, though they are normally brand name items. The only thing I would suggest that if you really need the item, verify that they have it in stock as some things will be back ordered and they won't tell you for a couple of days. Just had this issue with a mishimoto fan shroud.

It's a crap shoot. For everyone that says they have no problems there a bunch more that do. Tried the cheap route about 2 years ago. Put it on the wife's hatch. Sprung a leak a month later. Out $50. However the "OEM" replacement rad also bought off of Ebay still going strong.

bought this one a year ago, no problems. The fitment was exactly OEM. Bought one for my moms grandprix and had the same results. I mean its a radiator. I've never had to return one whether from a parts store or ebay.

price will usually tell you how good a product will come out. if you have an item with 3 choices(3 different vendors for same product) the unreasonably cheap one will more than likely be of cheap quality and probably wont last long. if the price seems fair, then quality is usually fair.

i buy from ebay all the time and i have always got what i payed for.
hope it helps

This is not true. If you're doing your research there are unscrupulous vendors on eBay that COUNT on this manner of thinking. They will price crap product ridiculously high in order to lull the uninformed buyer into thinking the part isn't "that bad" because it wasn't priced dirt cheap.

I buy branded parts from eBay all the time. If you bide your time and wait you can catch some good deals. For instance; An NRG quick release, BNIB, for $30 because it was a holiday when the auction ended and no one else bid on it.

Trust someone with over 1,000 successful transactions and 875 positive feedback in the last 10 years.
So if you're buying crap parts, then yes, you get what you pay for.

Contrary to others that have had good experiences with ebay radiators, mine started to leak after 3 months. Had to get a single core from local parts store since i needed the car running right away and couldn't afford to wait around to order a replacement and wait for it to get here..

I have ordered alot of parts off ebay.....READ everything about the item for sale......good vendors sell on ebay as well as scammers.... I have recently ordered a spec clutch, innovative mount kit, shifter bushings, used OEM parts, NEW OEM parts, CTR wing, the list goes on and on I have had no problems yet. Look at the sellers feedback before you purchase!

thats why i said usually. having a little research and knowledge on ur part is always good.

it seems most people just want the fastest easiest way out now a days and when they go that route, then they are asking to get jipped.

but i agree with you, if u wait u'll get good stuff

I second the notion that you should check a seller's feedback very carefully. Don't just look at the numbers. Look at the comments. Only then will you know if the seller has been accused of selling counterfeit items, less-than-optimum quality items, or if their items are on indefinite back-order.

I've sold and bought car parts on eBay, and yes, it's a crap shoot. I've been burned a few times, but most of what I've purchased has been fine.

Also, read the auctions VERY CLOSELY. It's what they DON'T say that can get you. They love to use "OEM-style" and other phrases to imply that something is OEM, when it isn't even close.

That said, I wouldn't buy an off-brand rad regardless of whether it was on eBay or not.

Most all parts on my car came from eBay. All name brand parts, brand new. Probably paid less than all you peoples buying from vendors etc, too. eBay takes the guess work out of pricing comparison for me.

Autozone. You can't beat the warranty...radiators to me are kinda like CV axles...unless you go OEM they are REALLY hit or miss. Like axles...if you don't buy at Oreillys or something with a lifetime warranty...and you install it and immediately get the shakes you're **** out. Radiators...if you don't get the warranty and it starts to leak 3 days later like ^...you're **** out on whatever you spent and the time you had to wait to ship, and the time it's gonna take to pull out the leaking one after you've already replaced a radiator one time, and put the new one in that you probably bought with a warranty because you learned better the first time. Your choice though.
