A front and rear lip is fine, preferably paint it. Don't mess with your side ones unless you're switching from one OEM style to another.

It depends which lip(s) you mean.

You have to understand why nice lips are priced as such. Quality and rarity.

I'll mention it again... what car do you have? All '92-'00 Civics do not look the same and the lips don't all fit all the cars.

tired of these threads, do what you want with your car. you can ask opinions on motors for specific tech questions, but this aint tech at all.

Even threads about engines are all about opinion for the most part.

I mean, unless someone says, "Which should I do? Turbo my D-series, swap in a B18C or cut out the rear of my car, make the car RWD and wedge in an F20C?" it's all pretty much based on opinion.

And if you think you're tired of it after six months, you should try being here years and still seeing the same stuff.

Okay, so I imagine you mean a genuine OEM front lip then. This is commonly called an "Si front lip" or "Si lip". There is a matching rear lip too. The front lip was standard on the Si, optional on other coupes in the US. The rear lip was optional on all coupes in the US. This front lip is exactly the same as the '99-'00 Civic Type R front lip.

There are other real lips out there that aren't made by Honda. Spoon, Mugen and Chargespeed for example.

Some websites might still well this front lip new as a Civic Type R lip. Don't get the Type R Style! It won't fit as well and won't look as good.

Your best bet is going to be buy used. They're discontinued from Honda. Keep your eyes peeled in the Classified section here on Honda-Tech, plus on other forums. Look through eBay too.

Just know what you're looking for there before you purchase. The fake ones are "toothier" at the front than the OEM ones. People will try to trick you, especially on eBay about it. If they post it on a forum like this saying it's real, but it's fake, they'll get flamed, so it usually doesn't happen.

jasoncrashtech, I can barely even see what's going on in your photo.

I think replica lips are rice. Oh well. Get over it if you have a problem with it.

What? I didn't compliment anything. I really can barely see what's going on in your photo because it's so dark.

If it's a replica lip you have, which I think it is, then I don't like it. I'm a very picky person though, so don't take it personally. It's not that they can't look okay, but the real thing looks better to me.

As far as meets, I'm not sure when the next one is. I don't keep track. I'm not really into meets much.

And sorry, but I'm not sure who you are. I'm horrible with names.

i'm from holland and i've heard people call other people a ricer,

but i don't understand.can't people have a differend opinion about what they like,

for example,a porsche with a very big bodykit ,people call it great, and a civic with a big bodykit ,people call it rice..

u get my point.

now i was wondering, rice is a chance on the car ,but not for performance a big wing is rice ,but a spoon shiftpoke is not rice..no instead of rice ,it's cool.

i'm confused.i can call differend products on 90% of all the cars here, that is not for performance butt only for show.

maybe we can settle this for now and ever.

STOP CALLING PEOPLE A RICER IF THEY DON'T LIKE THE SAME STUFF ON THERE CAR AS U DO.

u know what i mean.maybe i come up with something u all like.than i'm a trendsetter.and if u don't like it ,i'm a ricer.

butt for the rest i'm cool with everybody, this needed to be sayd.

Don't worry. Next big trend they'll be all over that and what's in now will be rice. Peer pressure's a bitch.
