why are you doing it? purpose? what do you plan to use the car for?
i only ask these questions because if for some reason you are actually planning on doing some sort of actual racing, there are surely rules and guidelines layed out by whatecer racing organization that you plan or running with.
Such as sealed boxes and mounting restrictions...

i wont be racing in any organized events so im not worried about mounting restrictions and what not.. on the other hand this is a strictly race daily driver so i need it to have good weight distribution for handling purposes and what not

Yah, it's still sitting in the box in my room. I just couldn't pass on that deal...
Now I am just waiting for my current battery to die. Let me know where you end up putting that thing, as I will be relocating mine in the future...
You may want to put it in some type of inclosed box though, you don't want that thing leakin any where. just in case, you know?

he's driving a race car! hehe
passenger side. to kinda offset the weight of the driver.

Using common sense and some quick thinking, the obvious solution would be the passenger side as far to the rear as possible. Counteracts the weight of the driver to an extent.

I would recommend fab a small holder for it, and place it in the passenger side taillight area. You know, there is a little area/platform there before the spare tire well.
But something tells me that the battery should be behind the passenger seat. I think it can counter the driver weight the best because it is parellel to you. The back area are all balanced out already, everything is symmetrical (well except the exhaust) so by adding the weight to that area, doesn't it make the back of the car unbalanced?
That's why, I think the battery can go behind passenger seat. But it is gonna be a bitch to boost it.

If u insist on moving it, put it on the passenger side of the trunk...
I just got a baker battery from inlinefour.com and left it where it belongs. That battery is so light and small there's no point in relocating it.
