Default What should SHE get? 04 si or ex?

Well, it's finally happened, my Vdub loving gf has converted. She is buying a honda! Now she has it narrowed down and is getting it on Saturday. An 04 EX 4 Dr, or the 04 SI. Now I have gone over each with her, being a 99 si owner myself, that is the way i lean. But she insisted that i post on ol' ht and try to get a general idea of what everyone thinks. RandoM Facts. It will be a Maine car, It will be leased with an optional buyout, She is 28, Going from a Jetta 2.slow, Payment is $30 higher on the SI, and she is completely in the middle, having driven both. So if you could chime in with the opinion, she will be checking this thread. Thanks.

I personally would get the SI, but what kinda girl is she? Performance oriented or like... GIRLY? I'd say if she's a performace girl, go with the SI, but if she wants something she can go out with the girls in or do the family thing with, she needs the 4 dr.

I'd lean more towards sporty. She's already asked me what upgrades she should get and is all excited to lightly mod either one.

thats messed up !

id say go with the Si cause it sounds like she'd prefer something 'sportier' rather than family four door......... although there's nothing wrong with four doors

It seems as if we have a general concensus. The SI.

She wanted me to add that she iis becoming a real estate agent, and may have to bring people in her whip, or the occasion cart around of the grandma or the nieces. She is wondering if the SI is responsible enough. I think it is, it's not like it's an evo.

Si, women tend to love to pass people on the highway a little too much, so get the Si so she can do it in a proper manner

if she is already talking about modding one, go for the SI. Also a hatch is actually a VERY practical car. I really wasn't impressed when i drove one of the newer EX's.

yep, the si should have plenty of room for her. Plus the hatch is great for trunk space, and a great car to mod. SI all the way

2 door coupe I love mine then in a few years slowly make it yours swap a K and bolt on a turbo. I just don't like the way a new SI looks, but that is just me

1.8t's have much more flexability as far as tuning and modding options. Plus they're just as quick as a vr6.

fit the car to the purpose. If she is lugging around stuff or people alot of the time i see nothing wrong with the 4dr. If it were me i'd go get the hybrid and reep of all the tax/hov(not sure if that'll apply to you though)/gas benefits while still having my fun little Si. But, I say get the Si though, that way you can drive it too

i'd tell her to go with the Si. also tell her to watch out for the serious pot holes we have up here in Maine.
