They're not EX/Si taillights. The red/clear taillights came on ALL '99-'00 Civic coupes, including the DX, EX, HX and Si. The taillights with the amber came on ALL '96-'98 Civic coupes (DX, EX and HX).
I mentioned this earlier.
A '96 won't be much cheaper than a '97 or '98 btw. Don't limit yourself anymore than you already have. Just look for a good, clean deal that fits as much as your other wants to begin with. Then build from there.
Where you buy the car from will have more of an effect on the price than what year it is between '96-'98. Private sellers are cheaper, dealerships are more expensive.

The second link you posted is a SEDAN.
Notice the taillight shape and size is totally different too. Coupe taillights won't fit sedans and visa versa.
The LX is a sedan model only.
'96-'00 CX - Comes as a hatch only.
'96-'00 DX - Comes as a coupe, hatch OR sedan.
'96-'00 EX - Comes as a coupe OR sedan.
'98-'00 GX - Comes as a sedan only. Very rare.
'96-'00 HX - Comes as a coupe only.
'96-'00 LX - Comes as a sedan only.
'99-'00 Si - Comes as a coupe only.
'99-'00 VP - Comes as a sedan only. Also called a DX-V or SE.
If there is anything I do know, it's sixth gen Civic options and standard parts.

Thanks for clearing that up, and NO HATCHES!! haha, here in washington people sell shells all the time, so i'll probably look for one for like 1k or less then just get the b16 swap for it. By then i'll probably have like 4-5k anyways

yeah but it all depends on different variables...such as whats availible, how much it costs...ect. But i'll keep that in mind. did u do a swap?

no i dont have the 99-00 tailight im scearchin for ssome. an the 99-00 rear bumper..... my car came wid a motor. also wid smog. =] but its was ugly as ****. good luck tho bro

Well #1, i've constantly been thanking people for their input, not full of attitude. And i think i'm pretty grown up for being 17, since i'm making $12 hr working at bestbuy in this crappy economy, i'm emancipated living on my own, doing running start through college and paying for a apartment...etc..etc.
Bet your still livin in your parent basement and your driving your moms old honda, so i'd shut up if i were you....
And your right i should just take that 3k and hire a hitman to kick you in the Assss

So far i've narrowed it down to a:
1996-00 Civic Ex
Silver w/ silver rims
Black w/ black rims (murdered out)
EBP w/ silver rims
As for rims i like these then would just get them powder coated or something
