What is the best engine to put in my del sol.
I'm building a show del sol from the gound up. What would be the best engine that i can get for it? ANd does any one know if honda makes a racing engine? Not a type R, but a real fatory race engine?

a factory race engine.. from Honda? The Type R is pretty damn close to a factory race engine. If your all show, y waste your money on a "Race" engine. Just get a B16A or B18B,C.

One guy I know near where I live did a complete custom engine swap on his Del Sol. He changed the front end to a 98 GS-R, and put in a 98 GS-R engine into it. Looks amazing, and it is very quick. He calls it the Del-Tegra GS-R! Try that. It makes an amazing show car, if you do the swap correctly, paint it, and do all the exterior, interior, and engine cosmetics.

Your going to buy a honda race motor... Those are bad... good luck getting one in a Del Sol though. If you want a real kick *** motor go with the Spoon(about $8000).. for about 3000$ less you could get a ITR motor or about 2500 or 1500$ less you can get an SI motor

What is a spoon prepped B18C?? i know what a B18 is but not "Spoon prepped"? And what make them so good? and ware can i get one?

If you're going the show circuit, I wouldn't put in a race engine. If you're *actually* going to race, drop in a JUN crate motor. 
That or the Spoon engine.

japanese honda motor tuning co. just put in a b20 turbo and make sure you put in the b20 turbo.

Spoon doesnt stand for anything. It is a japenese tuner. Their engines make some good power but are very expensive.\
just get a B16a and polish teh ba-jesus out of it and youll be all set. if you are goign show dont waste you money on an engine that isnt even goign to get driven. Just make it look pretty.
