Re: WDPfreak's EG Sedan: Project "feri-yo"
So after thinking and researching, I think ive figured out the abs delete. It takes a prop valve from an integra or civic with all disk brakes (40/40), and the mention of the Mc earlier has to do with the fact that the abs mc has a bigger fitting but still uses the same line. Or the same kind of line anyways. So my question is what kind of a flare do I need to use? What kind of hardlines do I need to use?
The reason I ask is because I keep seeing things about using single flare, double flare, double inverted flare, etc.

Re: WDPfreak's EG Sedan: Project "feri-yo"
Very slow progress today. But I've gotten a/c condenser and pump, power steering pump and resevoir, intake manifold, dash, abs system and a whole bunch more out!!!
The shell developed a leak whenever I accidentally knocked the drain plug out. So water has been pooling up in the drivers side front and rear floorboards!! Well today I decided to fix that. I ended up using the front radiator hose and sticking the drain tube down inside it, peeling the carpet back, and then routing the hose through the drain plug hole. It's easy to pop off if you do it through the bottom with a hydraulic jack. I will be pulling the carpet either tomorrow or next weekend. Now I have to scrub it all and shampoo to make sure it looks like new. I had to pop the sunroof open to confirm my theory. Using an allen wrench it took only seconds. Then i noticed the wind deflector is super dusty. I clean it up with a nice white rag and it looks like brand new. The reflection is still very bright and clear. Take a look!!
Also decided to clean up the bumper support a little. The paint job is a maaco job, and has quite a few runs in some places. But right here, it looks immaculate. Took another shot. All of these are taken with my phone, but it's 8MP so they shouldn't look terrible.
And then I've gotten the exhaust off, in the process of getting the head and then the block out. I decided to pull the spark plugs and the damn things were only hand tight and immediately broke loose after barely any force. Covered in carbon, and one was wet. The porcelain insulator had actually shattered in one place. Thumbs down to shitty NGK plugs.

It's going to take some real work. Hopefully the body shop by my brothers house is good with welding. I have to wait on the panels to come in and see how they mock up. I will be getting detailed and in depth pics. We'll see if fixmyrust.com is worth the money or not.

Rear wheel arches came in today. they look great. The mounting points for the bumper will need to be drilled but that's no big deal. Gotta wait for time off to take them down to the body shop and see what they want to do it all. I'll post pics up in a few.

Re: WDPfreak's EG Sedan: Project "feri-yo"
Well guys, it's time to bring this bad boy back from the dead!! It's been a long time since I updated this thread and I didn't have the money I needed to do the things I wanted to this car. I'm actually going to college now so I'm even poorer than before but I have decided to try and complete this while I am home.
Over my Christmas break I will plan to reassemble the interior and finish the ABS delete and a partial wire tuck. I will post updated pics tomorrow for the progress on the car and the donor car. I have a month to reassemble the interior, source parts for the ABS delete (really all I need is a prop valve and new front lines), and a few other things like the evap tank and such. More to come tomorrow!!

Re: WDPfreak's EG Sedan: Project "feri-yo"
Okay guys, I'm in the process of tearing out the HVAC in my working car but I need to know a safe way to bleed my A/C system to relieve the pressure so I can pull the receiver out from inside the car.

Re: WDPfreak's EG Sedan: Project "feri-yo"
Lol here in wv, they don't make too much of a big deal about emissions. I did relieve the pressure from the low side line schrader valve. I'm just hoping that there's no pressure on the high side still haha. Besides, neither car is going anywhere at this point.
I am in the process of pulling all the HVAC from the donor car which is why I needed to bleed the AC. I'm now trying to get the heater core lines off from the firewall side but the hoses are bound to the water jackets. Any ideas on how to free them up?

I'm also wanting to delete the evap system for this car to simplify the engine bay and eliminate unnecessary equipment, does anyone have a concise writeup for this? (with pics preferrably)

Re: WDPfreak's EG Sedan: Project "feri-yo"
Anyhow, I got most of the HVAC out of the donor car today, I'm snagged on getting the heater box out. The heater core hoses have bound themselves to the water jackets at the firewall so I don't know what I can do to get them off short of cutting them and peeling them off. Anyone have any ideas?
