Shouldn't swear to God...not nice. And I'm not trying to be argumentative, just stating the obvious...if you don't want your pics to be taken, don't post 'em on the 'net. Simple. I'm pretty sure the guy got the hint from the dozens of emails he got and ebay was probably notified as well, so it'll be alright. Here ya go. Have a on me.

Numerous IMs asking "why are you selling your tranny?"
A few guys figured it was a scam of some sort since I had not posted it for sale here on H-T first.
I would have never found out had they not told me, because I hate Ebay and never browse it at all.

Re: WARNING!!! MY TRANNY IS NOT FOR SALE!!! EBAY SCAM!!! (Aquafina)
Here are the pics the guy stole:
You can clearly see the number "5300532" on my block.
Just for ***** here's another pic of my block that I took (with the old tranny on it - hence the VIN plate) in that same topic in the Appearance/Cosmetic forum - funniest part is that it's right above the first pic he stole of my entire engine bay:
Also for more proof that VIN plate on that old tranny pictured above is the same VIN number of the totalled ITR I purchased. I still have the TITLE to it as proof of my purchase from it's original owner, Steve Kipisz.
Also for good measure I take all of my pics with my Fuji Finepix 3800. If you have Windows XP and you highlight the originals, it actually says what camera took the pics. I'm pretty certain that if I e-mailed someone the unedited pics they too could highlight and see that the pics were taken with my camera.
Need any more proof? I'd say that's more proof that some made-up banner across the bottom of the pics, wouldn't you?

Re: WARNING!!! MY TRANNY IS NOT FOR SALE!!! EBAY SCAM!!! (96hb)
why is it up to 11000 $ jesus !!
if we bring the price high enough, he'll have to pay a crazy amount of money of fees.

Re: (ShadyEH2)
How do the ebay fees work exactly? will he have to pay outrageous fees because the bid is up to 12000 dollars or something? i think this is hilarious for two reasons.
a) honda-tech is helping keep ebay clean
b) honda-tech is teaching someone a valuable lesson...don't mess with us!

Re: (918-Hatch)
Damn thats pretty fucked up.
I just want to say that i agree with 96HB that it is on the net.
Tom (and everyone) i suggest making a little icon or something for yourself that whenever you post a pic that you put it on there. Cause there are alot of people that take pics and say that there their own. I have a friend who does alot of photoshop work and people started to steal his work saying its their own, so now he marks them with a ID only he could do so if its stolen he has his proof. Just a thought.
And yes i know that on those pics there Toms VIN which proves its his, but what about other pictures?

The reason for bidding it up so high would be to prevent anyone from getting scammed. No one's going to pay 12 grand for a tranny.
When you sell on Ebay, you pay an initial listing fee as well as a final value fee. This **** head isn't going to get stuck with any sort of huge FVF or listing fee b/c he probably opened his account with a stolen credit card.

Has everyone informed ebay that this is a scam? So that whoever does win the auction doesnt have to pay ****?
