i agree with tom's reply. my car does mean a lot to me, and i'm sure if i walked out to it being broken into, i wouldn't have a weapon handy...
not sure what i would do.
good job on catching the guy, but seriously bro, you went a little far. one guy left. just beat the other guy until he gives up, call for help, and hold him until the cops come. I've been to jail before too. it was over something stupid, i was only there for one night, and i never want to go back. i can't imagine risking going to PRISON over my car.

My car got stolen I caught the group of people who stole it and not a single one of them is behind bars.............all they have is 3 years probation and restitution to pay.

Well civicgrl, I don't think anything those cops did would have been justified. Think about it, If they had sprayed him down with mace or pepper spray, they would have a 300lbs man (im being generous), running around on a busy interstate screaming. If, and IF he went down, they would have had to jump on top and beat him down to subdue him (I doubt he'd go down without a fight with all those drugs in his system). Even the comissioner defended his guys, saying they acted within proper protocol. It is within reason to expect a thorough beatdown from the cops when they spend 5 minutes trying to get you to settle down.

Yea man I fully support you on beating the damn bastard but I wouldn't have beat him that badly. I might have knocked him unconscious and that's about it really. There was this one story a while back in Bronx, NY and this guy tried to carjack this guy's Mercedes with a crowbar. Driver had a gun and the carjacker took two to the chest. He didn't live to see another day.

First off you want to sanatize the area, some warm distilled water sprayed around the area with help loosin the dried blood particals from the pures of the paint.
Next you want to use a watered down de-greaser solution, end-stain, tar and gum remover, will all work fine.
Spray a mist in a circle like motion, make sure the blood does'nt get wet and begin to run.. whoops looks like you found a tooth.. silly car thiefs..
After you clean up the blood you want to dispose of the bloody rags within a paperbag, burn it and dance around drinking southern comfort.

Good job with the thieves! Good luck with the law! The justice systems seems to make less and less sense each day. Thief breaks into car, owner finds him and gives him the beating of a lifetime, and now the law says you face jailtime. Total BS! Okay, so you scare the thieves away and you don't beat one or both of them. Then, say the get caught, they will end up back on the streets eventually, having learned nothing from their time in jail, or whatever. Meanwhile, the thief is out trying to steal another car. IMO, you did the right thing. He's knows now that an *** kicking maybe waiting for him if he tries to steal another car, especially yours; he's less likely to do it again. THIEVES can ALL rot in HELL!
