Default upper control arm

just picked up two upper control arms(uca)..the two originals have castle nuts and cotter pins....the new ones are both identical to the originals but the right (passenger side) does not have a hole in the ball joint stud or a cotter pin to lock it in...it seems unsafe as it is part of the steering mechanism...is this a change since the original and is it okay.....with the lower control arm and the tie rod end both tied in by cotter pins maybe this is not a concern.....suggestions,obversations????..compo1

Just get it to where it needs to be ans use another nut as a locknut and you'll be fine.
