u know what...now that i think of it...yall shouldnt even confront these people at their shop...u should wait until u see the individual car w/ any stolen parts you think are yours and just follow him until he is on a somewhat lonely/ deserted street and just block his car in and then scare the **** outta him and tell him you taking all ur **** back or your gunna bust his face in. If you do it at the shop there is a guranteed chance someone will call the cops but if u do it on a city street and u try not to be extremely loud...i dont think anyone would even notice...unless the guy starts screaming like a baby...so yea now that i think back dont do it at the shop...do it one by one...ahh but then there is the possibility of if u get one guy...he will notify the other ones with the stolen good and then they could end up being prepared for anything (gun or weapon) and that could get ugly...damn now its a tough call...wut eva u guys do b safe about it...

ODD>>> My boy had his car stolen a few months ago...in essex, Md, not far from silver spring....they found his car in NOVA....with just parts missing...not the motor or anything...even the parts were professionally uninstalled...like his vafc,etc...WE can tell it was taken somewhere, to be parted out, then driven to NOVA, because they even replaced his header w/ a stock one....just seems kinda odd now i see this post....any of this sound familiar??

crazy.. my boy had his car stolen out of Centreville VA about 1/2 a year ago, and the found it in Essex, MD sitting flat on the ground stripped of what little mods he had done and his cheap bling 17 inch rims. they even stole his sunglasses and some t-shirts.. ****** pukes.
we need to organize NOVA militias that cruise the streets lookin for these *****.. kinda like a neighborhood watch or something.. err maybe i'm getting ahead of myself

Damn Synthesis, you sure are violent for an anti-war hippie.

But seriously, as fun as beat downs sound, it would only be a temporary fix. If you want a feel good fix then round up a posse and head up there. But you run the risk of getting arrested yourselves, and is that worth it? And, I can almost guarantee that people like that will come back strong with there own people. You will probably see more cars getting stolen, and other people getting hurt.

I'm not saying just lay down and accept this, but you need to get some good hard evidence. Track these guys. If someone has the time and is very adamant about getting these guys, then stake them out with video equipment. Cops will work with you if you have the evidence (I know this because the La Habra police is working with me in regards to Upgrade Engineering, see my sig.).

Go and get some new sparco's or whatever, ask someone to install a lo-jack in the seat. Keep driving by the shop high signin' (Bump you stereo or whatever) and then leave tha car in an obsious place where they could get it. Let them steal the **** and then the cops can track th lo-jack back to the shop. The other thing you could do is call the news and present the info to them. They will do an expose' and hit that shop up big time. It would be good for their ratings too cause they would make it seem all fast and furious looking for their comercials.

I would gather up a bunch of "pipe hittin' *****s"......
all it takes is a $20 crack rock.
walk up to some junkie. tell him he can have it if he takes this brick and smashes it in this dudes face

really guys..if these guys have your **** i would'nt let the cops stop hearing about it and i would find any and all pics of your ride as proof (see this peice of lint here).
you get my point

cops won't do anything for you unless you have serial #'s on your stolen parts that you can 110% identify as your own. they don't care anyways.

your best bet is to go vigilante or to take them to civil court and sue for unlawful possession/use of your property. you don't have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt there, just enough to convince the judge that the theif has your stuff.

and the only way to do all that is to get all ur friends with pictures of all their stolen stuff in their own cars...before the theft...to have all receits...also i remember someone said something about some sparco seats...i think sparcos are rediculously expensive....maybe you could call sparco and maybe see how many were ordered or something to your area or something like that mayb they keep records or something or maybe u could ask the thief in court, where he said he bought them from and go to that place and ask them or something along those lines...but get all the thieves...in court at the SAME time...and then play it by ear from that point

damn it's funny that i found this thread. today at work my coworker and i were talking about the place his brother got his car from, which happens to be the same place i bought my car from. from what he said he saw on the news, and from an FBI report his economics teacher showed the class, this place has people steal cars, strip them down to the shell, and keep the rest of the parts. they then buy the shells at police auctions, and re-install the rest of the parts they originally took out. a lot of the cars that are for sale at this place are salvaged title and stolen recoveries. this was the case for my hatch, as well as a type r i bought from them. i asked what the outcome was, he really didn't remember but he mentioned either the feds didn't have enough evidence or the auto sales place had a very good lawyer. i think i will try and do some research on this place.
thats not anything new i know people do that all the time and they are now in jail!

actully DeeSeeToo is right, because those rota slips, sparco seats, and harness were mine. ME and funktional 01 have PERFECT evidence that those are our parts ok and if you ALL wanna get technical ill spend the time right now to tell you how we have evidence ok . . the slipstreams had BRAND new Falken azenis on them as i did too! 3. when the thieves stole my SI they left and cut the part of the harness in the back where they could not get them unbolted, and when we found the car with our parts in it they left the part they had cut still ATTACHED to the seat. 3. The Tein suspension stolen off Funtional01's Eg-6 was made for an Eg-6 not an Ek-9 so thefefor when we looked at the setup and it was clearly for an EG because he had to custom do washers to the bolts in the back to make them fit on the EK. . If you read the post Entitled "VA/DC/MD watch out for thieves at capitol and MIR" posted by Greddy SI he had put pictures of the suspected thieves cars, when the MD police notified the owner of the EK he rolled up in 2 cars, those cars are pictured in the post as "suspected thieves" in the VA/DC/Md area. ANd obviously we are correct because Fairfax county have towned the car from new and again and are currenly in the process of taking the car apart and reterning all our parts back. NOVA thieves....OWNED and Fuzzy logik (funtional01) and DeeSeeToo can back me up on all this and there are about 5-10 more things that can prove that the things on that hatch are mine and funktional01's as well but we are keeping it on the the hush hush so it doesnt disrupt the case.

depends on the cop. when i my advan wheels were stolen, my friend saw it on another car pass by everyday during a certain time. i stake out the location and wait for this fkcer with a 2001 style dark green honda civic (md license plate santos) pass by and follow his *** all the way to d.c. I waited until he parked and went to get a cop. at least 3-4 other officers came and arrested his *** and charged him with possession of stolen property. I got my wheels back in about a week but he was let go b/c he claimed he bought it used and there wasnt enough evidence.
