Tachometer and starter not working.

Tachometer and starter not working.
i just swapped a Gs-r in to 1989 Crx. Changed the wiring to obd-1 (i used eg main harness and engine harness. Starter was not working, but i knew it was a good starter since i used it a day ago and i took it to autozone and tested it and it was positive. So i hooked a wire to the starter and touched it to the ignition and it started up like a champ. Now tachometer was not working. I tried to two cluster and both did not work. I checked the plug right by the crank pulley. and it was plugged. What could it be causing the starter to not work and tachometer.
