Default Squeak from wheels! Rim or Tire? or somethingelse??

Ok so I have a Squeak thet I can hear when Im driving that sounds like its coming from the front wheels. it squeaks faster as I go faster & slower as I go slower. theres no clicking or grinding or anything bad happening, just the fooking squeaking!! I took off the hubcaps thinking that maybe the tires were rubbing on them, nope. tire pressure is fine. anyone got any Idea? ist it my tires?

have you checked your lower ball joints? they tend to squeak if they are not lubricated.

Is your car lowered? My front wheels make a slight scrape noise occasionally but its just the rotor cover.

balljoints dont squeek faster or slower depending on speed.

check your brakes, or your backing plate/heat shield for the brakes. brake pads have a built-in wear indicator on them that will squeek when your low on pad life/brake lining.

drive past a building with yoru windows down and find out which side is squeeking. from there you will look at your rotors/pads and look for shiny edges or rust lips. check your pads to see if they low. look on the inside of the rotor and see if the rotor is touching the backing plate/heat shield

it could be a bent rim is there any shake in the wheel or it could be the brake plate so gay they always do that also it could be your brakes

It's probably the dust shield rubbing against the brake rotor, or a rock got caught between the two. Happens all the time on Civics.

Brake dust shield, or CV axle although CV's usually click or make a rubbing sound.

The only obvious thing that comes to mind, with the summer heat.. could be worn belts.. try squirting some belt dressing on them and see if the squeaks diminish.. it did for me..

checked cv boots look ... new... wierd HAHAHA I checked my brakes & are the pads supposed to be touching the rotor? on my 96 acura TL there was like a mm or so of room. I thought well maybe its cuz it still has the pressure from putting it in park so I put the E brake on put t in neutral & uts still touching. could this be my problem or is this normal & I dont remember when I got the brakes done I think maybe 6 months ago @ pepboys and they put on duralast gold pads on that have alot of life on them still. maybe I could spray some of that brake queiter stuff on it? or is that for just squeeking when you stop?

get car on jacks, place in neutral, spin the tire and see if you can replicate the sound and find out where it is originating

my em1 was doing same thing, i took off caliper, cleaned and regreased the slid pins, cleaned around and pushed caliper piston back in, and drove to work in peace and quiet. id take up caliper off and see if maybe ur rotors not letting off the whole way or not!

Instead of checking the actual brakes, check the metal shroud that goes around the brake rotor. When I picked up my coupe there was a slight squeal and it was that shroud rubbing on the rotor because it had been bent a slight bit. I just took a socket extender for a socket wrench, put it between the spokes on my wheel and pushed. It will take a little bit of force but it's a fairly weak metal so it should bend without too much trouble.

if you rev the engine does the squeaking speed up? or you mean it speeds up with vehicle speed in no relation to the RPMs?

it has to be your brakes. brakes has a point were they will sqeak while driving letting you kno that its is not safe to drive i kno this cause my rsx did that and when i check the brake it was 3mm left which was not safe to drive so replace the pads and see

Im sure he did not wear out his brakes in 6 months unless you are doing 500 miles a week...

Taking the pads off and lubing them probably wouldnt do anything. That stuff is for the BACK of the pads i think...
