Default This si needs help!! wont shift..

Ok well basically the car is a 92 si hatch. it will go into gear when the cars off but when the cars cranked it wont go into gear...???? ive been told change the clutch like the whole kit. so i did new bearing pressure plate and clutch disc. ive been told to bleed the clutch a BUNCH, i did that to. then i was told it could be the linkage i did that to... so if anyone has had this problem or anything like it let me know! cause this car needs to move lol.

Did you replace the throwout bearing? I read you did the pressure plate and disc, but you failed to mention throwout bearing.

Bad Pressure Plate? Springs on clutch are bad? Did you bleed the clutch Slave Cyl? Check clutch master Cyl or you probably need to adjust clutch pedal

I'd rather say its a clutch problem, but could be tranny.

how long ago did you put in the kit?
You never mention the clutch master Cylinder is the cap on all the way lol.
Does the pedal stick to floor by any chance?
Have you notice any differance between clutch engagement before you had the problem and after? like Stiff clutch or Pedal feels lighter?

Changed the clutch like 2 days ago. it was doing all of what i mentioned ^ before and after i changed everything. (lol yup caps on) pedal feels different because i went from staged clutch to stock but its not sticking or nothin. the engagement i guess feels fine but when i put it in 1st with the car off and then crank it the wheels want to spin without me giving it gas and its on the ground. i know the wheels will spin if its in the air since its fwd. mastercyl is fine i chekced it made sure its not leaking and all.

Would of been good info at first lol.
Your Clutch slightly engages when pedal all the way on the floor.
You Need to adjust your clutch pedal.
Does the pedal have free play? It should have a little free play.
When you swap clutch you should adjust pedal especially from stock to aftermarket or vise versa.

Good luck with it man. I just seen you are somewhat local in Decatur. You should just ditch it and buy my GSR.

i am not responsible for any damage if you decide to go with this method..

i had the same problem a few years back with an ef that wouldnt shift. i tried everything in the world to get it right but to no avail. it was just a daily beater so i said "f it".

my brother in law pushed me and the car with his honda foreman to about 15 mph and i slipped the car into 1st, closed my eyes, and popped the clutch. the tranny made no unusual noises and the car started. i shifted through all gears to make sure everything was gravy. 4 years later the car still drives like a dream. although its my side project now, everything is perfect with the tranny/clutch.

**worst case scenario** lol, good luck.
