This might help get you started.

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...civic+F20C+RWD

Can't say I see it as probable that it will actually get built though. People who do this generally don't ask questions, they just do it. This is not a conventional swap, which is a large part of why you're attracted to it.

I'm usually not one to call people out on there posts but honestly, if you know the basics of "converting a FWD Civic to a RWD S2K powered Civic" then the details wouldn't even matter considering that it will take a good amount of raw fabrication skills. If you have that kind of talent you'd just get in there, take measurements, and make it happen. If you're paying someone else to do it, then they'd just take measurements and make it happen.

I'm with "grumblemarc" on this one.

I'll believe it when I see it. Any post that has "hahaha" and a bunch of slang in it isn't to be taken seriously.

Most of the people that have done over the top conversions like this usually post pictures afterward. I never see them start a thread to ask for help.

save yourself the money (and headache) and just buy a pre2000 camaro z28.

Rwd....some pep...and they can be had for under 2k. Plus when you get bored of it...you can sell it, where as your civic will be worth nothing, plus youll have WAY more then 2k wrapped up in it.

Another dreamer?

If you actually make some research. There's currently a Civic 92-95 hatchback converted to RWD in Japan. He's using F20C engine/drivetrain with S13 rear suspension. Honestly, it drift like crap. There's just no real drift angle.

I thought the same until I stumbled across this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/corvette-powered-ls1-civic-h-b-my-project-i-thought-i-would-share-2004368/

Everyone was making fun of that guy but he pulled it off.

Cases like this ought to be 1 in a million though.
I doubt this is the case for this project based on the language and initial approach, but you never know.

How do you change the rear 4 spark plugs?
Oh thats easy...you just pull the entire motor out of the car/or...remove the entire dash, just takes a day or so.
Cool project I guess, if you really do have unlimited funds....(judging by the home + lotus) the civette owner is ok financially...
But really, aside from novelty, whats the point?

I posted a translation of the writeup that a guy in Japan did over a year ago. Check it out here. You're in for a lot of work and money, so color me skeptical.

Yes... I agree with you.
I just wanted to remind some of the people on here about the infamous "Civette", hoping it would cool the thread down a bit.

I thought about that too. I used to make fun of my buddies with 300ZXs that had to remove the intake manifold to change the spark plugs on the rear bank... I can imagine the nightmare on this one. I guess it is novelty.

Thank you dsmaddicted! Just because my english is not good doesnt mean i dont know my cars! See now thats a guy that uses his head before talking! Thx again
About the 2 threads u mentioned i already when overthem these guys are good as for the civette i think it handles likethat because of how bad the wieght distrebution is. But sense the f20c is not as heave suspention adjustmant should take care of the handeling. As for the rest ofthe guys talking trash i have yet to c anyof u take on such project so if u dont have the experience or something helpfull dont post so i dont waste time reading. I also wanna thank redm3turbo
