Re: The rebirth of 1994 DelSol
Wow I can't believe all the work you put into making the exhaust fit, but it does look good. Will you still have room for the spare tire?
No man..
On the crank pulley, make sure it is tight (500 nm?) and if that's not the problem, take the pulley off and run the engine to check if the crankshaft itself is bent.
I wonder if pressure in the SC is causing the belt to jump around.

Wow I want to see that thing launch off the line. Also I'm interested in how you tune it, and how you set up your gauges for boost / oil pressure / oil temp? This is insane. How are the computer cooling hoses holding up?

DIY SIDE MIRRORS TURN SIGNAL
Now as slowly came to the small details.
You know, I had removed entirely sideturnlight on the fenders. Then I saw, especially in heavy traffic on a safe journey to these signals, especially bottom of the vehicle
and prevents unwanted accident cases ..
I need them back but not necessarily adapted to the bodywork and close the distance required to show that I noticed
Mirror arrays seemed appropriate for this kind of application ...
How i made them with photos ...

Re: The rebirth of 1994 DelSol
im not 100% on the AEM unit, but with hondata in the Vtec parameter, u set the upper boundaries, which is wen vtec is activated (turned on) and u set a lower boundary for incase u shift early and fall out of vtec or if u want to remain in a particular gear and will b letting rpm go below the activation rpm...
does that help...
im pretty sure all ecu's with vtec enabled will have this feature...
maybe put a screen shot of the vtec parameter from ur tune so we can help a lil more

hi
I'm the tuner of this car, Alper.
the problem is, VTEC is OFF by the ecu anyway.
the conditions are met, and vtec is OFF by the ECU, however, it doesnt wanna go off and stay open until the oil pressure is low enough.
how do we understand the VTEC is still engaged ?
by the sound of the engine. when you press the throttle, you know when the vtec is ON after 5500 rpm. when VTEC is stuck ON, the engine bogs and you dont here an 'open' sound on 5500.
I think it has nothing to do with the parameters but here you go :

Re: The rebirth of 1994 DelSol
From Identifix:
"dtc 22 vtec pressure switch cleared code, code set again above 3000rpm removed vtec oil switch and installed oil press. gauge' had 30psi at idle and up to 60psi with throttle increased (should only have about 7psi unless solenoid opens) removed vtec solenoid and valve assembly and cleaned out confirmed fix, solenoid was partilly open after cleaned syst. and changed oil and filter also had a rough idle cold due to vtec syst. partilly engaged"
Also:
"1. Locate the Variable Timing/Lift Control (VTEC) pressure switch on the end of the cylinder head by the distributor.
2. The VTEC oil switch is normally closed, and grounds the reference voltage from the Engine Control Module (ECM) on the Blue/Black (BLU/BLK) wire.
3. At approximately 4000 RPM and when driving the vehicle, the VTEC system should turn on. To turn on the system, the ECM energizes the VTEC Solenoid valve and it allows oil pressure into the intake valve rocker arms, the oil pressure opens the VTEC oil pressure switch so the ECM can verify that the VTEC did turn on correctly.
4. The code will set below 4000 RPM if the reference voltage is not grounded. The code will set above 4000 RPM if the VTEC oil switch does not open.
5. If the code sets at 4000 RPM or higher, the problem can be a low oil level or pressure, or a malfunction in the VTEC assembly.
Tech Tips:
When the 22 code sets at 4,000 RPM or higher, always verify that the engine oil level is full.
Also, if there is an oil pressure or volume problem, always verify that the oil pan is not pushed up and is too close to the oil pickup tube, causing an oil volume problem. Be very careful when supporting the engine with the oil pan.

Diagnostic Codes
DTC 22
Potential Causes With OEM Direct diagrams, components, TSBs, and R&R procedures
Low Engine Oil
Plugged Oil Passage
Insufficient Oil Pressure
Plugged Oil Screen
Insufficient Oil Volume
Defective VTEC Solenoid
Confirmed Fix Summary
Confirmed Fix
3 - Replaced Variable Valve Timing & Valve Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) Solenoid
2 - Adjusted Engine Oil Level
1 - Engine Oil
1 - Replaced Variable Timing Electronic Control (VTEC) Oil Pressure Switch
1 - Cooling Fan Temperature Switch Connector and The VTEC Pressure Switch Connector"
Sounds like you may have oil pressure issue, or electrical connector issue, or the solenoid may be faulty / dirty.

I believe you're in the wrong place for this kind of work. Why don't you send the car to Istanbul???
Wouldn't be hard to solve ure issues if we could see it up close and personal

CUSTOM (DIY) DLR PROJECTOR LED HEADLIGHT PROJECT PART 1
Everyone here just make a car project to share with all the people like me at this forum,...
I had a lot of DIY work As you follow , still I have a DIY projects I'm working on it now, I think it will never be the end :D
That my sub-projects for one of my DIY custom design work in my headlights , perhaps the most challenging time-consuming fk:
I think I started this study as of June last year , then the last work was a different case , let me first share it .
I use materials, quite large Bi- Xenon D1S type lenses with Valeo 's latest model , Philps D1S bulbs, Mercedes in Gen5 D1S ballast , EagleEye 3W LEDs , again 3W LEDs ness square signali,
My headlights to be very functional , to have the DLR feature , so I want to be stylish , but the place was quite narrow , because of the structure of the beam.
Nevertheless, I found out to make it what I want :D
Now , as usual , let the narrative tradition with photos. :icon_tup:
DLR from occurring in the middle of the Eaglesquare LEDs located on the bottom and on , I would paste transparent orange foil and would be used as the signal .
In this video I want to fully understand the current situation :icon_tup:
However, I canceled, before the end of this project , )
to be continue .:icon_tup:

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I just spent like an hour reading ALL of this. I have a del sol as well with high hopes for it. Your years a head of me. I'm just slowly collecting parts for each mod Im going to do. Lovely. Keep it up.

Re: The rebirth of 1994 DelSol
so Honda-Tech doesnt know about the VTEC issue and Istanbul knows what to do ?
Non-sense.
Anyway, we got the answer from Honda-Tech Tech section.
We just wait for a nice weather to get it done.
Period.

Re: The rebirth of 1994 DelSol
You never stop amazing us with the hand fabricated customization (I'm loving it) Great idea for your own headlight setup.
Curious of those headlight enclosures how would you rate them by themselves unmodified? Been searching for some tasteful replacements for my sol.
I was taking a look through your videos and i noticed it looks like you have your headlights fully completed and in the car?
They look great and quite unique if i must so say myself.
Good idea for your side signals on the mirror (personally wish you would have made them more flush mounted with the stock of the mirror) but as you said safety is key with those so they should have no problem being seen.

CUSTOM (DIY) DLR PROJECTOR LED HEADLIGHT FINAL PROJECT
During the time I want to do something different ..
I decided to add headlight height motor, but unfortunately I could not find the originals, I decided to use the to Hyundai Accent s , ı decided to use flexible tube LEDs for use as signal in both DLR
[/URL]
Note: The pulse duration is very short-range LED , will solve this problem by connecting resistors.
