R.I.P Nathan....Love your father.
Well I am not sure where to post or really care if this is the right place for this.
As many of you know I was building this honda for my son who was to turn 16 very soon. He was not aware of the build as he has been with his mother and kept from me since she left 15 years ago. We had talked a couple of times on the phone over the years but had not seen him since he was 9 months old. He had an evil grandmother that just hated me for whatever reason she fooled herself into thinking. Sorry if I am leaving empty spots but I don't really know what to say.
I was informed that he was riding his dirtbike in the yard yesterday and had a head on collision with a friend and his throat was cut and he passed away. Details are a bit sketchy at best.
Edit....july 27, 2007.
Well it seems more information has come to light.
I got a phone call from my ex wife today.
She tells me she has learned more about the death of our son.
Seems there was some eye witnesses to the wreck.
According to eye witnesses our son was not even on his motorcycle at the time of the accident.
Seems he was run over and the shift lever at the bottom of the bike caught Nathan and broke his neck, severed his jugular and carotid.
The boy who ran him over when confronted admits there were others that were present but denies the way the witnesses say it happend. He claims they hit head on.
There was no damage to the bikes to support a SO CALLED head on collision as he stated.
I am calling the medical examiner there tomorrow/today.
End edit. July 27, 2007.
Rest in piece my son....Daddy loves you and will miss you.

Nobody will ever be able to understand the pain you are going through right now or the pain that you will continue to endure throughout the years. All I can say is that I am truly sorry for your loss. Just think about as many positive things as you can for as long as you can. Stay away from drugs or alcohol because they will only bring your temporary bliss. Know that you now have someone watching over your shoulder and they will make damn sure you are always protected. I hope everything works out for you E.Honda... just know that god has a plan and the meaning of such events are never truly revealed until the end. Everything happens for a reason... you will be in my prayers. I'll make sure my mother looks after him

I never should have read this. That's just about the saddest story I have ever heard. My prayers are with you and your son. I think it would be most appropriate to finish the build and keep it as one of your fondest memories of him. Just take one day at a time.
