the zc is a dohc dseries,

you can't swap b with d, but you can swap d with d, the zc dohc is the only d dohc,
but yes you can swap it onto sohc d block.

no such thing as dseries dohc vtec though.

It is also available in sohc and no, it's not the only D series dohc. I believe the D16A1 is the other.

Agreed. My friend had an LS-VTEC CRX that blasts the quarter an 12.5 seconds all-motor which I have witnessed myself. Oh yeah, it's his daily driver too... nothing unreliable about it.

How would a oily motor be and advertisment for sohc being &gt; dohc&gt;

Yes many people have done this. It is a simpe procedure using wood screws and a touch of jb weld. If i was to do this swap I would definatly get a new head gasket. You should just search. Many threads on this. Good luck with the swap! -Dustin

d16A1 is a DOHC D series along with the d16A8/9 (theres DOHC versions)

That setup you posted is a great advertisement for sohc CONVERSION to dohc. It looks like it runs great.

why dont you get h23 block with h22 head...better tq and have vtec..why you want to change sohc to dohc anyways..
