Default p75 ECU//d16z6

Back for more advice...

93 VX with a d16z6

Noticed the vtec solenoid wires were cut about an inch from the solenoid.. went to see which ecu it had.. it was a p75. Now i'm not concerned with having vtec for now as this is a dd and i am rarely in that range anyway.

What I am concerned with is it runs rich. It runs fine, idles fine but it is definitely rich.

Can I get a p28, plug and play and still be in good shape? And run more lean?

Let me know what you think, i can supplement with some pics tomorrow as well.

Are you running the D16Z6 on a P75 ECU? That's for a B18 Integra engine.

Information :: Tech Area :: Stock Honda ECU List

The stock P28 ECU is designed for the D16Z6.

Yes they are currently running together. Not by my choice.. one of the gems I have found since buying the car.

How well or poorly does the Z6 run on the P75 ECU? Is the P75 chipped for the Z6?

Running rich, doesn't sound fine to me. Is this a chipped p75?

It's not chipped.

Also the green/white wire for the idle air control valve (IACV) is cut for some reason. And I think I see another wire or two that are also cut.

There's a cut red wire as well, exposed and hanging there.
