blink_977 you've been misinformed. Rather than ask your question in the future you may want to seach first. Look at this link https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...uto+manual+ecu and in post #5 there is a link to phearables web site. The 5th link down is a video that breifly explains converting an auto ecu to manual. The video is explained on an obd1 ecu but auto to manual on obd2 is the same.

Your best bet is to buy a manual ECU, as everyone else has said OBD-IIa ecus are pretty much un-convertible
RP17 and RP18 only exist on certain OBD-I ecus and OBD-II ecus are no where near the same as OBD-I

Yo kyle the 17 year old with no car or drivers license or mechanical experience. I thought you weren't trying to give advice about subjects you know nothing about. For members use a great deal of caution when reading any mechanical advice from kyle.
You kyle why are you here I mean on fitfreak you bagged HT many many times and laughed with the other 90's about how you hated HT and it's sooo lame but now your here why is that?

So you are saying it's OK for you to insult the members here but now you want to take advantage of their knowledge ONLY in the photography section and they are still lame in the rest of the forum?

sorry i was stating a fact
just like you have no problem stating the fact that i don't own a car and i have no experience.
and there is no rule saying i can't join this forum JUST to learn from the photography section.
and i'm sure you're the only person that would even remotely have a problem with that.

I'm talking about you posting on Fitfreak laughing with the other kiddies in several posts how you hate HT and how it's soo lame you would never go on there but now you are here. Are you saying that you never posted how lame HT is on FF because those posts are still there for everybody to read.

I know not all obd1 ecu's have the same rp17/rp18 config. Solder a jumper (any wire) across RP17 and see what it does. OBD2 is rarely dealt with since they're useless for modded engines, so the info will always be sketchy. If it doesn't work and blows it up (highly unlikely), you'll have to go with the only other suggestion anyways - get a manual ecu.
