I have seen a white one on a white lexus around my area and its alright... i guess. not my style, nothing i would put tons of money into. IMO i would wire it w/ the park lights in the tails so its only on when its dark and the lights are on. dont do it into the brake lights or it will just flash with them and makeit look stupid. GL

agreed. just like my short *** dumptube off my WG and turbo w/ BOV doesnt turn heads. anything modified get unwanted attention, not just things with "ricer" upgrades

BTW I wouldn't say my ride is slammed, it is lowered. I can fit a finger and a half in between the tire and the fender.

Really curious about where the OP is located.
Most states won't specifically list neon license plate frames as illegal, but certain types of additional lighting could be. Not to mention the color of the rear or front facing light is closely regulated, which can also affect those neon underbody kits mention earlier.

This is true but it attracts different attention. When i first got my ride it had these nasty 17" ricer rims. In the 6 months i drove with those rims I got at least one person a month try to race me. After switching to 15s it hasn't happened once. But I have gotten plenty of compliments. Lip kits and 15" rims don't attract the same sort of attention as the things i mentioned in my post. Things with ricer upgrades attract ricers.

Even if it IS legal; i think you should get a hefty fine for any sort of neons on anything other than an ice cream truck.
Then you can enter your car into a competition and pay off the fine with your reward money.

Oh, come on ! Get over it, already.
I'm not like this usually, but you all have left me no choice.
I was only asking a simple question. You know, because that's what forums are for.
If I see a question on a forum that is sooo simple that it's unbelievable, I don't hammer the guy on the head. No ! Believe it or not, I just give him the answer. Just like that ! Unbelievable !
Oh, wait... It's a forum. That's what it's for. Meant to harbor open discussions and free speech. You don't have to agree with the idea that is conveyed in a certain post or thread. That's YOUR right.
But if you don't agree, don't flame the guy ! That's HIS right. To express oneself freely does not mean with insulting and hateful replies. "Freely" means the right to post without being flamed.
If you don't agree with someone on a forum, keep your thoughts to yourself, show some respect, and just pass on to the next thread.
Once again, thank you to shawn_crx, chris42192, and acake_em1, who were pretty much the only ones who showed respect for my question.
Thankfully, this forum is the only one I've encountered so far that displays such a hostile attitude towards beginner questions. I will immediately and gladly stop using these message boards now.
I'll choose another one. There's certainly an abundance to pick from. One where the members aren't flame-happy. In fact, I chose one already !
Okay, I'm done. You'll probably ignore everything I just said and post a hateful response. It's to be expected.
Flame away.
However, remember this: little boys who play with fire burn themselves one day or another.

Re: Neon License Plate Frame Install
Hah, and i wish it was. NO external lights other than oem lights are legal in the state of florida. No neons, no LED Windshield wiper lights, no tinted tail lights, or headlights... Wow, looks like you ricers should move to another state like Alabama where most cops cant even spell neon.
