Maybe it's just me, but EG's are much more fun to drive than EK's. I was driving a 93 Ex back to back with a 99 Ex today, and the EG just felt more (I don't know) connected/responsive/fun?

I own a 1993 SI and I'd trade it for a 1998 EK in a heartbeat. Not that I dislike the EG in any capacity, but you'll understand the allure of a new car once you have a couple older ones.

I would deffinetley go with the EK. Better looking IMO, stiffer chassis than EG, newer, generaly better body condition. If u can afford it, i would look for a 99-00 because, personally i like the way they look better than the 96-98.

doesn't the ek hatches wiegh less than the eg si's? i mean the other 92-95 hatches, the cx, dx, vx are lighter.. but i thought the si was heavier than the 96-98 hatches. i'm not sure about the 99-00 hatches though.. they wiegh almost 100 lbs heaver that the 96-98 models(beats me why)

i own a b18c1 eg and a jdm b18c5 ek and i like the ek better. i think its just as responsive a s my eg if not better due to the wider stance. there isnt much weight difference between a eg/si and a 96-98 ek.

EG for sure. The EJ/EK have the UGLIEST taillights out of any Civic hatch IMO.
The EG steering has a way better feel to it, and replacement parts are cheaper.

99-00 GSR swirlies some people like em painted black but im sticking to the so called "bling bling" look. I think its more appealing.
