need help removing the radio
Some dam thiefs tried to steal my cd player but they were unable to take it out, so they hammered it with screw driver, and took the face. Now i'm left no music, and a broken cd player.
I got a new cd player but i don't know how to take the whole thing out in a eg. I tried and ended up breaknig the ac unit. Can you somone please please post a step by step pics on where the scews are and stuff, how to do i take it out.
As you can see its a whole one piece thing. (this is not my car, i took it of the web to explain my point)

Should just pull off. On another note you might want to take out a few other things and buy a can of flat black Krylon.

I tried just pulling it off, thats how i broke the ac unit.
so, i don't want to take any chances.
I'm sure it pretty easy.
but i just can't find the screws or clips which are holding it in place.

what kind of deck is it? theres usually 2 keys that slide in the sides to push down tabs which will release the deck. The keys should have come with the deck, otherwise you'll have to find a couple of small screw drivers to push the tabs with.
Or ask the guys at the shop where you bought the deck if they can just pop out the deck, I got them to do that for me cause I didn't have the keys.

you don't need to take the panel out, you just have to find the tabs to release the deck from the sleeve, take it to a shop if you can't figure it out, otherwise you might do some damage.

should be two flat slots on each side of the deck, probably about 1/2 inch long on each side, or about large enough to fit a house key into. Taking that entire plastic thing off doesn't work too well because it's held in there by a billion little screws if I recall correctly.
Just take two long car keys and stick it in each side, it will cause the cd unit to seperate from the din cage that is in the dash and you can carefully pull the radio out without it dropping back down. If you know anyone that works at a car stereo shop they should pull it out for free.

its right down the middle of both sides of the cd player. stick something thin in there about 3 inches or so and pull the cd player out.
