Need help with installing a Silencer
I just bought a HKS universal muffler silencer for my exhaust. Im not too sure about how to install the silencer. I only have the idea that i need to drill a hole on my exhaust tip inorder for me to attach the silencer in the muffler. I just want to know if there is anything else i need to know to install the silencer?? thx in advance!
- does anyone know if they make silencers for greddy evo2 mufflers?

I'm not sure if that's the same one you're looking at because muffler tips come in many different shapes and sizes, but depending on how your silencer fits into the exhaust pipe it's just a matter of drilling a couple of screws into it. Otherwise, making two to three holes and using bolts and nuts to hold it in place works, if you want it to be more easily removable.
Just make sure everything's tight so it doesn't rattle and if it didn't include instructions you might need to get a little creative.

Re: Need help with installing a Silencer
just my .02 is when I installed my silencer I drilled three holes around the tip. Used short bolts, and exhaust manifold nuts. Locking nuts word work, tip doesn't get that hot. I still had a little bit of rattle, so I shimmed the silencer in the tip with a thin piece of cardboard. The silencer has been in for 6 months and the cardboard shim is still good, keeps it from vibrating and causing an annoying rattle.
