Re: my rhd eg6 conversion (civictyper92)
Can't wait to see the completed pick. The swap looks awesome so far though It would be pretty different looking to see a rhd car, kind of cool. But more work than I would care for at this point. Engine, suspension, and brake swaps are enough for me .

Doesn't look like fun to do, but I'm sure the final product will be more then worth the time you've put in to it. Can't wait to see the final pic.

Quit being a complete ******* douche. Everyone knows that you're against this mod. Shut up.
Nice work man, love the progress.

In all honesty I'm with Redline on this one. Just make sure you don't have to have the car inspected or they'll total it. There was a thread awhile back about a guy who's insurance company took one look at the car and totaled it. He couldn't even drive it home.

Re: my rhd eg6 conversion (litterbox)
this is not a mod.....its rebuilding the car and rewelding the chassis together. If its not straight 100%, you risk compromising the structural integrity of the car. Also, your visibility has changed since your farther from the centerline, and our roads werent designed for RHD cars. No police department would think this "mod" is a good idea.
Its not a good idea and may not be safe!! I don't want the car loosing control cause it wasnt rewelded as good as Honda did.
Changing firewalls is very involved, and your insurance company, should you get into a wreck, wont give you a dime. This is not a good idea!
This is ******* safety here!

My mistake. I just read his first post and decided it wasn't worth my time to follow it. To each his own. I like being able to go to McDonalds and go through the drive-thru alone. Though it might be easier to go to Checkers now.

Lol, I just pictured a civic going down the road, the front end ripping off and the driver having to stop the car like Fred Flintstone.

Re: my rhd eg6 conversion (Everyones Hero)
I saw a CRX that was doin over 100, lost control, hit a expedition, and from the firewall forward ripped off, how much more likely is that to happen to a car with a non-OEM welded frame?

I am ASE ceritfied and have many I-Car gold class points (including welding)
so if i did this to my EG and did everything proper and even threw it on the shark and everything was within 3mm you would be fine with it.

Redline - I talked to a local shop here that does RHD conversions called Kansai MOtorsports, I talked to a guy there and he said all I needed to do was take the completed RHD conversion shell to the state patrol and give them all the paper work and they will issue a new vin... there ya go... complete RHD that is totally street legal... and its not required, as long as you keep the paper work from both cars to provec nothin was stolen
