Practice makes perfect is what I've found.

And honestly, if ricing it out is what makes you happy, have at it. Don't be surprised when you get negative attention (you probably will if you modify it at all) and when the parts end up being crap (leaks, breaking parts, etc.).

What the hell are you talking about?

I checked your posts and I see no photos your car. I also see no hate.

Your post tells me a lot more though. If you acted like this, I would probably not say anything nice about your car either. Then again, that would be because I wouldn't say anything about your car at all. Seriously, bitter much?

He has no wing. Who cares if he posed with the car? Who cares if he's not a hot girl? This isn't a dating site anyway. There is no longer a limit on being able to post a thread right away (been like that for something like a year - since it swapped to vB).

I really have no idea what you're talking about as far as having a "right" to post your car. Go make your own thread. We don't care too much about it here. Seriously, go to the Appearance/Cosmetic section (where this should be) and click .

OMFG, it works, right?

You're not a ***** per se, but you're not right either. You're just not too bright. Try one more time to do what you think the site or we won't allow you to do before you come in and flame us and this kid for no reason.

Oh, and one more thing. Back in about 2007 or earlier I made a thread for noobs so they'd know how the site works for them at first. I believe it was a week and ten posts before you could make your own thread. So you've been held back simply because of your lack of posting.

I was offered a car to share with my younger sister when I was 16 or so. I said, "No thanks." Instead I waited a year or two and purchased my own car in 2002. A 1997 Honda Civic EX coupe in Milano Red. A five year old car with one previous owner. I got my dad to cosign for me, put $3,000 down on it and paid for it myself until I crashed and totaled it almost a year later.

Then I purchased the second car, the one I posted earlier in this thread, in 2002. Again, a five year old car.

Oh, and later my sister had to sell a '95 Corsica with a blown head gasket by herself. She's been through at least three more cars since then and I'm not sure if she even owns one now. So yeah, I made the right decision.

awesome car kiddo... as other members have said before, LEARN to DRIVE it FIRST!!! i'd be more worried burning out the clutch and having that replaced before you even think about lowering your car or getting wheels haha... drive it around, get used to your car, learn to shift properly, know your blind spots and distances of your car before you lower it... there are so many things for you to learn about driving (in general) and about your new car..

and when the time comes.. you will know.. and you wont have to ask anyone what to do to your car, or what to add to your car. you will know what you wanna do to it.. first thing is search online. 2nd thing is put it on your car. have fun with it. we're all here to help.

Driving stick shift and "Mastering" stick shift are very different. I crashed the **** out of my first car(96hx...milano red) and I'm willing to bet 80% of people telling you to take it easy did as well. Don't do stupid **** and watch out for the other shitty drivers out there.

Car is clean. Get some tint and drop it. keep an eye on craigskist for some nice wheels. Then leave it alone for a little and use it to pick up chickslol

Enjoy man. Welcome to hondas.
*EDIT* I feel it is important to say because you are young. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. I'm sure you are responsible but this really kills so many people every year. It also lands tons of people with jailtime which they deserve. ***The more you know!***

Lose the attitude.

and flip flops.

Learn how to drive the stick. read, read, read, here and on d-series.org and turbod16.com

Stay away from body kits. They don't add performance or help the car run better.

SAVE, SAVE, SAVE your money. When you get around to doing upgrades. You'll be glad you have the cash.

I hope you know how lucky you are.

Keep this car in good running condition and it will take you through high school and college.

Not a bad start. I personally prefer the 99-00 cars, but there's nothing wrong with the 96-98.

My advice to you:

Read honda-tech for at LEAST one year before beginning any mods.

Learn to do your own work. I estimate I save myself at least $1000 a year between both my cars by doing my own work, and that's not counting the mods I do.

Or, enjoy having a nice, reliable daily driver and don't do anything to it. Get good gas mileage, and be 16. Spend your money on guitars, or chicks, or Young Jeezy records, or whatever kids do these days.

NOFX - Where did you get the grill on your car? That's teh secks. I've seen it on EDM Civics, but not US.

well, I knew it was EDM, but I didn't know anywhere I could get one... unless you flew to England. Which I wouldn't doubt for h-t's clean civic queen.

It takes "awhile" to master the stick (I'm still no master). Make sure you keep it well maintained. If you don't decide to take the lip off get a rear lip too. I think gold/bronze wheels look pretty clean on them red cars IMO. Keep original but yet your own. Read, read, read. Find out what works and what doesn't. It's yours dude have fun with it. GL

Don't buy bolt ons. Intake, exhaust and header will not even gain 10whp. They are a waste of money and will make your car a cop magnet. I'd enjoy it for what it is, a great daily driver. If you get tired of it you can sell it for what you got it for. You have the Escalade anyways lol... Learning stickshift takes about 1 hour if you have any co-ordination at all. I learned in a big parking lot. Took me about 5 minutes to be able to even move the car, but once you have 1st gear down it's all done besides working on being smooth. Have fun and yes, lose the sandals..
