Let me chime in. This kid worked hard for his money and he saved up to buy a cf hood. He bought a brand new cf hood and it should be flawless with no damage whatsoever. Why the hell are you guys flaming him? I hope this gets resolved.

Not to hijack your thread but I ordered a pair of foglights for my EBP EM1 about a month ago and still havent recieved them I called to see what the problem was and they told me the item I had ordered was on National Back-order !! What? They could'nt notify me of this. Here I am waiting everyday hoping my damn foglights will come and they are'nt even in this damn country. I called back again and they told me they got a shipment in and I would have my product by the first week of January. Well it's almost the end of the week and no foglights. I am not complaining about receiving them so late. I am complaining about them not notifying me of this problem. Hopefully i will receive my foglights before tomorrow or JDMshit.com will be hearing from me again. I have never ordered anything from them before so I have no reason to **** on there products. But I can **** on there customer serice

I payed 1600.00 for a brand new milano red paint job with all my dings removed, etc for a flawless car... and when you pay 400.00 for a flawless hood when it gets here it should be FLAWLESS. Now i have people asking me.. wtf is that crack on your hood? and it looks like ****...

But According to newman it's just a fingernail size chipmark

I don't care what ******* size it is.. I payed 400.00 for a NEW FLAWLESS hood and i did NOT get that from you.</TD></TR></TABLE>

What I don't think you understand is that Newman is not liable for the hood getting damaged during shipping. Before the hood was sent out it was inspected and found to have no damages. Obviously the shipping company is the one responsible for the damages. Why should jdmshit have to take a couple hundred dollar loss because the shipping company broke your ****? You need to be taking the situation with the hood up with the shipping company, not jdmshit.

How does the hood being damaged have anything to do with the bumper not fitting?

They both pertain to the situation because they were both defected purchases from jdmshit.

I just want to thank everyone who has helped me out.. (to the guy who posted pictures of his hood chipped with the box)

I may just be me... But i tore the box up.. I was excited that my first cf hood was here that I actually payed for it.

Newman pm'd me and said DHL may give me 20% back to get it re-clear coated,etc.. Clear coat will not fix my hood or the front bumper that doesn't fit.

There are two chip's you can CLEARLY see and clearcoar just won't fix it.

I'm not worried about anyone hi-jacking this thread so no worries.

I just want a new hood and my money back or store credit for my bumper.

I ask for anyone who is having problems out of jdmshit to LET IT BE KNOWN.

I would not want anyone else having to go through as much bullshit as i been having to go through over my hood and bumper.

Btw: Don't get me wrong.. My hood's fitment is FLAWLESS i'm very happy with fitment..

Excuse the ricey *** corners.. I haven't had time to put my vis ambers back on

From my understanding..

The 20% was to get the hood reclearcoated and buffed.. but theres two chunks so that makes it not possible.

This is starting to turn into something here because I've still yet to get all of the info, and I've already offered the buyer that I'll fork out my own money out of my own pocket to help him remedy this situation and told him how to send the hood back to me and that I'll personally take care of it. I've yet to hear a confirmation on it and I don't know what else more I can do if he's not wanting to take my money and my help. I'm actually going well beyond what is needed as I can simply tell him to follow the damage claim rules so that both parties are taken care of.

All of a sudden that 1/2 of honda-tech is here in this thread you decide to do something.

I called DHL 1-800-Airborne and filled a damage claim just as you told me to do.

My car went to the body shop on 12/20/04 for new paint and all door dings removed...Along with that i ordered the carbon fiber hood because my stock hood has rock chips in the paint, several dents.

The body shop told me i would be better off just buying a new hood.. So i ordered the V2 hood.

I no longer have my stock hood.. Do you understand?

Am i suppossed to package this hood up and drive to school and work with no hood?

If it is DHL's fault as you are claiming then DHL should have no problem with you being able to send me a new hood.. and them pick up the damaged hood and pay you back for the hood that they damaged.

I see no problems in this?

Jimmy is right.... DHL should pay for the cost. I understand your pain.
However. They are a business out to make money and that is not going to happen.

Bottom line is:
Jimmy got screwed b/c of DHL.
JDMshit's reputation is being screwed b/c of DHL.

Screw it.... Im going to UPS.

I already mentioned to you that I was willing to help you and go out to the way to get you a new hood sooner than waiting for the DHL claim, and all that I asked was you package the hood back up into the existing box, and call DHL to make an appt to have them pick it up and I would take care of it once it was received. I've been explaining on what to do this entire time so no, it hasn't taken all of these posts to have to reply here. Every option that I've explained to you, you did not want to have any part of. Now in a PM, you are calling me a liar about taking back the hood so I don't know what you want out of this. As as business, I cannot just send another hood out until a DHL rep comes out and gives it a proper inspection and we get that information &confirmation back, as we do not have enough information yet for the claim to get filed. Once we can get some sort of actual confirmation after the rep has examined the hood, then taking care of it is not a problem. However, to help speed things up, I've already told you that I was willing to take the hood back 'as is' per what you said was wrong with it, take your word on that, and pay out of my own pocket to help you out here, on a transaction that I was not personally involved with in the first place. Instead, I received a PM calling me a liar and have not yet received a straight answer yet on what you want.

I've never once said that we wouldn't help you out, and I was not apart of your sales transaction to begin with but since you sent me a PM asking me what was going on, I decided to help you but since then it seems like you've been putting the blame solely on me.

I just explained i can't send you the hood because i would be ''hood less''.
Let DHL come to my house and look at the damage and they will see its chipped in two spots and theres a scratch following the chips.

Then If it's possible we can do some sord of ''hood swap'' and you send me a new hood and when i receive the new hood the shipping company picks up the damaged one... Is this even possible?

for crying out loud newman, just give the man a new hood and money to ship the old one back to you. jeezzz..

remember him saying..."The way the hood was packaged.. I HIGHLY doubt the damage happened during shipping."

the customer is always right &lt;- good thing to follow if youre trying to run a good, clean, sucessfull business.

Whats so hard about sending the guy a new hood and him shipping the old one back in that box? I would think as a business owner you would want the best for your customers and reputation. From every post you make it just shows that little loss you'll have to take on this order means more than making the customer happy. Guess i'll never buy anything from you

Jimmy, why is it Newman's fault that you don't have your stock hood? I know people that had to wait for parts and they only had one car....so what they did was ask friends or took a bus to where they needed to go. Its all part of customizing cars. I'm just curious what did you do while your car was being painted? I'm just playing devils advocate.

I do hope this does get resolved as I do understand where your coming from because I do only have one car as well and have had problems with other companies,

are you not obligated to help this man out? you`re so gracious to decide to help him. it seems as if you dont want to take any responsibilty at all.

no matter how much was spent, its still hard earned money. and i`m very sure he did not want hard earned money spent on shitty parts. a little good service goes along way....

everyone that is backing newman, are u willing to put your money with your mouth is? if you guys love JDMshit so much why dont one of u guys put up the $400 so newman can send jimmy a new hood and jimmy can send the **** one back.

There has already been an agreement made between myself and the buyer, basically I've personally taken care of this transaction with little information provided to me. The buyer has already been greatly compensated for via monetary agreement and this matter is pretty much done. Again, I took initiative here as well as a big risk on my part since I still did not have all of the information, still don't have all of the damage claim info, let alone reasonable pictures that I could work with for a damage claim. We'll let Jimmy answer for himself but he's already been taken care of by me, out of my own pocket, to help him resolve his misfortune.
