Is my d15 worth keeping? Any performance or tuning tips/ ideas??
I want something fairly faster but I don't really mess with a swap. Between work and my girlfriend I just don't have time. Any performance or tuning tips/ ideas??

if you want faster to the point where you can actually notice it, a swap is basically the only option, unless you would like to go with boost.
bolt ons aren't gonna cut it for a d series.

I've seen some argue that the D15s are the best Ds to boost since they don't have VTEC. Something to do with the pressures involved and the changeover into VTEC being hard on the engine. Regardless if that's correct or not to make a D15 even remotely enjoyable you'll need to boost it. End of story.

You can argue it all you want. Dynos don't lie. VTEC loves boost. The only people that argue against it are the ones that don't know how to tune for it.

Well sounds like boost is the way to go. What will I need? And what's the best place to get a set up without breaking the bank

There is no set price list. If you want to do it janky then less than a grand. If you do it right, 3k and up.

The D series both Vtec and non Vtec can make decent power on boost at a low cost and be reliable. Get a Ebay turbo kit and replace the turbo with a Garrett 50 trim as well as the waste gate and BOV with Tial units and get some DSM 450 injectors and you can be boosted for under $2000 if you shop smart and make near 200+whp.

In my opinion, if you do it right you can get quite a bit of power out of straight motor. Ive got a d15b with p2j head code. Ive got dc headers, short ram, and port and polished throttle body... im pushing almost 130 horse at the wheels. easily hit 90 in third gear, so to everyone talking ****, 130 horse while still getting 45mpg is a beautiful thing.

I don't know about that. Took a 1600 mile round trip earlier this year and averaged 40+MPG. My 30-32MPG is city miles.
