Default Mini-Me Intake and vtec question.

ok guys i have a 96 civic hatch with a y7 block and a y8 head. the car is obd2 btw. the previous owner did the head swap but he/she didnt swap the manifold and left the y7 manifold on the y8 head. what will i need to swap over to a y8 manifold and wire in vtec? thanks also its still running with the p2e ecu thanks

Considering its a 5 speed,

-96-98 manual Y8 intake manifold
-96-98 P2P ECU
-wiring for VTEC, knock sensor and wire for 2 wire IACV

^ Use that for the ecu part. At the iacv plug just color match the wires. Get a y8 ecu, intake manifold, Y8 injectors and throttle body. Basically find a manual Y8 intake manifold as complete as possible.

Use the Y8 injectors or you will lean out using the y7s. Yes just a y8 IM gasket.

not enough to make a difference (in this case at least)190 vs 240 iirc. we can get into duty cycle but that's a waste of both our time.

wouldn't you just be maxing out the Y7 one's then ? vs actually leaning it out

the car would run lean. the ecu has no idea what size injectors are in the car. it is programmed for 240cc injectors.
