messed up the threading on my short shifter

Default messed up the threading on my short shifter

like title says...i smashed the threading on the short shifter while installing it its just mininal but i was wondering where i could get a thread kit to rethread that thing...now im just driving with the stick.

get a 3/8 die. im prety sure thats the size. it is on my b&m anyway.

got mine fixed for free at autozone. they let me use their rethread kit...

you will need a 10mm die. 3\8 is standard while the 10 mm is metric. They are different.
I picked up a single die from napa and used a big ol' wrench to turn it on and rethread the top of a short throw.

You can probably pick up a whole tap and die set from any hardware store for maybe $30-50? good luck.

i pick my tap and die set for $25 dullers..at the bargin store..

the one on my b&m was standard. it was 3/8". i assume the stock shifter would be metric like everything else on the car though.
