Default megan racing springs installed, need to settle>?

i just put on some megan racing springs on my 96 ex and the front dropped right away really low, and the back is still sitting really high, im wondering if the spring just needs some time to settle, the top of the coil is really tight and at the bottom its really gapped. please help.

as long as you put the front springs on the front and the rear on the rear, you should see a difference in about 24hours if they were brand new.

yeah i did, the front is Extremely Low though, i mean i have 195/50/15 tires on there, and the top 1/2 inch of the tire is under the fender, and in the rear there is like 2-3 inches of gap.

this sucks, makes me want to put my stock ones back on, ughi hope it straightens out.

Are the rear springs upside down maybe?

If not, still make sure that they are sitting on the perches correctly. They are supposed to sit @ the bottom of the shock in a very specific place, its hard to explain on here though.

Good luck to you!

yeah they are on there right, my friend did his H&R springs on his Ek hatch yesterday and everything went fine and the car dropped right away, mine however are a different story, i called megan and they said to wait a week lol, and they said different companies make their springs different.

gahh this is pissing me off, the front is wayyy to low, and the back is wayy to high, wtf do i do.

Yeah that IS bullshit man. I feel for ya! Hopefully things settle, or you come to another conclusion. You can always return them.

And I'm surprised people didn't come in here saying bullshit like "you get what you pay for", and "megan racing is cheap ebay crap", because I would highly disagree with that. I am NOT sure about thier springs, but Megan Racing over the last few years has put some pretty nice products out. Thier headers and exhausts are priced great and have not let many people down for what they are. I have actually heard NOTHING about thier springs/coilovers, or any suspension components for that matter.

no, all the springs were installed in the right places, the front springs were smaller than the rear ones, the boxes were labeled.

oh and megan is a great company, i have their exhaust on my car and its awsome, if it wasnt for that i would never have bought their springs.

but if the rear settles eventually? will the front still stay the same?

I'll be honest man, I've done quite a few suspension installs for myself and others and I've never seen springs "settle" more than a quarter/half inch. I believe you 100 percent when you say you did the install correctly, so thats probably not the issue. Do you think you can find some pics or dig up some information to verify that they labeled the boxes correctly and the springs arent on backwards, such as the fronts on the rear, and vice versa?

I think its definitely possible that they were labeled incorrectly and led you to believe something else. Of course, you can't be blamed for something like that...not your fault. But I hope everything works out for you, what a pain in the *** this has been for you...bullshit. If you don't mind...please keep this thread updated. I'm really interested to see what the problem was and I'd love to have the knowledge of what happened in case this problem arises again in the future either on here, or in person.

well ive found out that they are deff on the wrong sides, because the long springs went in the back while the short ones went in the front, just like it said on the boxes, now everyone can see how much a little mistake can screw someone up big time.

im soooooo Pissssssseeeeed ARGHHHH!!!!!
