its a bar legal swap. just means that i took it to the ref with the swapped motor and it passed smog so i dontg get into any trouble with the po pos for illegal modifications...

I don't understand why people who are into hondas live in California it just makes no sense to me. For whatever you are paying to live there you could move somewhere else for much cheaper and do whatever you want to your car. Then when you get older and move out of the Honda scene you can move back... California is nearly bankrupt anyway because of the poor financial choices they have made... What they are doing in Cali is the dictionary definition of profiling...

lol so true.. I mean it is a stupid reason to leave California so that I can devote my life to driving a fixed up civic. I mean I heard other people leaving California to find better jobs but for a civic?

There are also a lot of reasons to stay in CA, my best friend lives in San Diego and its beautiful there...
It is all about your priorities... I live in an area where the cost of living is dirt cheap, its warm year round and I never get hassled about my car... Modifying cars is a big part of my life and I wouldn't ever live somewhere that would make that more difficult... And its more than just having loud exhaust its driving my car down the road without worry of getting hassled and less worry of theft...
I was simply saying I don't know how you guys do it...

There are also a lot of reasons to stay in CA, my best friend lives in San Diego and its beautiful there...

WORD up canada FTW ,,lol im in quebec we dont ever have to pass an inspection, i can run a obd1 engine in a newer car if i wanted too no one will ever know lol the only inspection we have is for safety,, ( too much rust, brakes not working lol) there not strict at all.. although the speeding tickets are ****ing expensive, n u can lose ur licence pretty quickly

i was driving speed limit, doing nothing at all, my car is hella quiet sounds stock, chino hills socal california, living here already is a fail to start, they pulled me over because my car looks "modified" and they said all the cops right now are gona be pulling any car that looks modified over and straight up trying to find any illegal parts/engines, watch out guys .. i just lost my treasured *** engine im pretty sure i wont be able to keep it

^^ i agree, your leaving something out.
they cant just take your motor,
they have to have a reason which it was probully stolen. on most crap they will just give you tickets, or impound for a while.

The states has really gone downhill i have to admit. why all the pressure in removing the stoeln parts(or looking for them) when they should be catching the people STEALING the parts? am i not right on this one?

MD isn't bad at all... I lived in a county that didn't have emissions testing but most in MD do... The only real difference was the front tag and tint laws...
There were technically laws on modified exhaust and what not but my Aunt was a MD state trooper and she said that they didn't waste their time pulling people over just for loud exhaust...
