Default It's Hammer time!!!! ....................i mean, clean up time.

haven't posted in a while so here goes.....
Yesterday night, i bought these lights for 20 bucks because the owner was too lazy, when they primered his car, to tape everything up. and so i gave these headlights the extreme makeover they desperately needed...

enjoy.

2000 grit

still wet so it looked shiney

next morning

all buffed up and shiney

so kids, let this be a lesson to you. Always use protection. PEACE.

The lights posted above are EXACTLY the same as any '99-'00 EM1. Si headlights aren't any different than any other set of USDM '99-'00 Civic headlights.

Those lights might even be off of an Si.

yea, i knew they looked an awful lot alike. The thing is, my crx seemed to have glass lenses and my civic has those and they are getting that dull cloudy look. Will this fix work for that?

I don't know what you're asking. If you want to clean your Civic headlights and they look like that, this will work. There are several other headlight cleaning threads out there though.

I don't know about 4th gens and CRXes, so I can't tell you. If they're plastic, yes. If they're glass they shouldn't need this much work.

I was just asking if his method of cleaning those lights would work on my dull EM1 headlights. And thanks for the reply. Im not worried about the CRX, i sold it to get the EM1. I was just curious. Thanks.

I'm not sure you get it...

THOSE ARE EM1 HEADLIGHTS.

ALL 1999 to 2000 Civic headlights are THE SAME in the US. The EXACT same. The reflectors, lenses, bulbs, EVERYTHING.

So that means... 1999 DX headlights? Those are THE EXACT SAME LIGHTS as the ones they'd put on a 2000 Si. 2000 EX headlights? THE SAME. They're not special. They're not a different color. They're not a different shape. Nothing.

The headlights shown above are 1999 to 2000 USDM Civic headlights. They are the same for all 1999 and 2000 US coupes, hacthes and sedan, including the Si.

This method will work on ALL 1996 to 200 Civic headlights. USDM, JDM, EDM, all of them. If they have a giant scratch across they it won't fix that, but it will fix any outside clouding. I do not recommend polishing the inside though because it scratches the inside.

That's weird since they're all the same part number.

USDM '99-'00 headlight (right): 33101-S01-A02
USDM '99-'00 headlight (left): 33151-S01-A02

Some parts, such as painted sideskirts or front and rear lips, have different part numbers either based on the year they're looked up or the color the part comes in, and the price will reflect that (some of the front lips in the Si colors are more expensive than the front lips not in those colors). But parts that are the same exact part number shouldn't cost more than others that share that part number.

cln92eg...If your work is selling these headlights more because they ask for si headlights when they are the same exact for any 99-00 civic they should be shut down.....the headlights are the same exact part number...nothing special for the si
