itr muffler on EH help PLEAZE!
i just bought an itr axle back. i wanna get it installed on my EH, thing is... im only gonna use the muffler. i took pictures of it... i also heard that u gotta customize the tip, weld it onto the the muffler and relocate the hangers.
they said to cut the black part of the tip off and weld it onto the muffler. leave only the polished tip...

i've seen topics on this a while back, i thought one of the guys just cut the tip shorter, that looked good and then he modified the piping, shortened i think, i dont think you have to cut off the tip and re-weld, will look cheap i think

basically i want something that looks stock and isnt loud. the itr is a lot better than the oem pea shooter.... and isnt loud......... i dont want to spend $400-500 on an exhaust system.... the axleback was rather cheap... now im gonna get 2.25" piping from cat to itr muffler..........

There's different ways of doing it. What I did was cut of the original axle-back off, and had a muffler shop fabricate a new axle-back piping and hangers. You would not be able to keep the polish tip as it will stick out way too far. I only kept the inner tip.
It's hard to explain where to position it before welding, but I could take some under car pictures and show you. Regarding the rear sway bar, I'm running a Integra R sway bar + Beaks Kit. The clearance is insane.....less than 1/4". If you don't plan on running a rear sway bar, than you should have a problem at all. I don't know why some people hammer in the rear canister or whatever they do. Plenty of clearance w/o rear sway bar. Hope this helps.
