Integra Immobilizer into 00 Civic Si/00 B18C5 Swap?
Just recently bought a 2000 Civic SI with a 2000 B18C5 Swap into was wondering if I would be able to put a 2000-01 Integra Immoilizer into (swapping the ignitions).
I would like to do this because:
1. I am going to BAR (CA) the car soon and I am going to need to remove the chipped ecu and put a stock 2000 USDM ECU that only works with the Immobilizer to run.
2. I would like to do it with out using a bypass of any sort
3. Its an extra security feature.
This is my first EM1 Civic SI so please be kind. And thanks in advance!

Let me clarify my question.
My question is would a 00-01 Acura Integra Ignition be able to take the place for my 2000 Civic SI.

Re: Integra Immobilizer into 00 Civic Si/00 B18C5 Swap?
you can pass bar with an obd2a ecu, just use a jumper harness.
i have a 2000 b18c1 swap and used a obd2a gsr ecu to bypass the immobilizer for BAR. the reff did noticed i was using a jumper harness and said its was ok as long as its a obd2 ecu.
the immobilizer is a stupid security feature anyways. it just gives the owner problems. if someone wants to steal your car, theyll probably have their own ecu ready to plug in to take your car anyways.

yea the 98 will work as it doesn't have the immobilizer in it.
If you look on the PGMFI forums there is a member there than can pull the immobilizer board out and replace it with a dummy board. Doing that will let you run the original ECU without worrying about the immobilizer.

Re: Integra Immobilizer into 00 Civic Si/00 B18C5 Swap?
Yes, you can do this. I have this done on my B18C1 swap in my 00 EJ8. I used the Integra ignition cylinder with antenna ring. I had to modify the steering column as the lock mechanism on the Integra lock cylinder is a bit larger (the one that locks the steering wheel when the key is out of the lock). There is a slot that runs down the steering column that needs to be widened only in the area where the lock cylinder will contact it. You'll also have to use a heat gun to mold the lower steering column cover so it can fit over the new lock cylinder.
Then I ran the necessary wires to power, ground, and I believe one data wire to the ECU. I didn't bother wiring the immobilizer indicator light to the cluster. That's it. Very simple and a great layer of protection if you plan to run OBDIIB Integra ECU. If you get your hands on a Helms manual for the Integra, you can see what wire colors need to go where. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I also rekeyed all my locks except the trunk release lock on the floor to match the Integra key so I only have one key. Take a look at this thread for details on how to rekey Civic/Integra lock cylinders: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...ighlight=rekey
