I blew my motor today!
what up guys?! as the title says i blew it today on the way home from the track. 
a connecting rod came off the crank and blew a hole about 3 inches from the exhaust part of the head. but i was running a d16z6 with header,intake, but yeah so im in search for another d16za6 so if anyone has one that they want to get rid of let me know

heh mabe you shoulda kept it at the track... unless it wasnt hard driving related. If it was just coincidense then I retract my previous statement.

yeah, thats my first motor that ive blown! its great, im going to have pics posted as soon as i can. but im planing on getting a b20 with tranny, ecu, tranny, wireing harness for 1000 from a friend but yeah everything will be ok as soon as i get the money

the oil was fine, but i think the oil pump went out, but im glad it blew when it did, during the summer not late at night 45 mins away from home but now im saving up for a b16 swap so its all worth it in the end.

there's many ways to throw a rod...power being one of them along with overheating, no oil, revving too high, or just a fluke
