Default brightest legal bulb for 96+ civic

Wanna replace my headlight bulbs with something better. Thinking the sylvania silverstar's but is there any model other than the standard that might be better.

I run H4's and have been ticket twice for my corner lights (they were blue). Never had a problem with the H4 headlights, though.

Sylvania XtraVision's are about as good as you are going to get in terms of lighting performance from a "legal" halogen replacement bulb that you can find at your local parts store.

H4 is the bulb stlye not light out put and you got pulled over for your ricer corners because its illegal to have blue or white showing to the front or rear of you car(besides reverse lights when backing)

I have some cheap GE 9300SB (9300 is another bulb designation from some companies for the H4) and they produce the best white light I've seen for the money. Each set I've had lasted almost a year and a half, and the bulbs are somewhere right around 15 dollars.

No, there is no tint to the light at all (which is why they outperform the coated SilverStars, regardless of the what Sylvania's marketing says). The euro-spec SilverStars are also untinted, and would be a good choice if you can obtain them.

I do not think that there is a law for the bulb or headlight brightness.
There should be one for the height of the headlights. I know they can not be to low, but there should be limit for to high so all those ***** with SUV and super bright lights at the height of my mirror should be busted.

And the brightest you can go is getting airplane bulb/headlight. I saw them on ebay for $75 each!! Custom fit it and you would have 1000W on

I purchased mine at Pep Boys, but you shouldn't have any problem finding them at AutoZone or Advance. Just look for the purple/pink XtraVision packaging. Keep in mind that they aren't overwhelmingly brighter than stock, but among stock-wattage halogen bulbs, they are some of the best you will find in US stores. They're also quite inexpensive.
