have fun payingfor it.. even if you got it here in one piece after paying for a container and custom fees it wouldnt be worth it..
the reason some people get them through customs is because customs doesnt inspect EVERY shipment.. if youdo buisness and have alot of stuff coming in.. say 5 containers.. theyll randomly pick 1 and search it.. they dont rip apart every single thing..
but if yur a 1st time importer have fun.. i had an engine shipped from uk and it sat in customs for 3 weeks.
and also its more economical to fill the rest of that container with bumpers motors headlights etc etc to make the shipping worth while.

Re: (drunknbass)
economical my nuts.
would you rather have a bunch of parts that u can sell for little money..
or would you rather have a piece of Honda's flagship history before the new millenium?
some people just can't appreciate a work of art.

If your trying to run an importing business, you really dont have time or money
to care about stuff like that. That one car will bring in around 15k and will take up
a good 10 feet of the container. Think of how many b16 front clips you can get in
that 10ft, and all the misc. crap that comes with them. The clips are much easier
to sell, and on top of that, most ports wont let you bring whole cars into the country.
All of the importers that I have seen could give a **** about Honda. Why would you
when you can get a skyline for the same price?

You can also try thru grey markets like the carribean. Tony's Toys (met the owner) gets all those Japanese cars for good prices.

dude ctrs are not rare in japan, nor are type r integras. They arent on every street corner but they are pretty common. Ive been to japan twice. The first time i went and saw a ctr the first time (on the way back from the airport) i was a little excited about it. but as soon as i saw several the next day the novelty wore off. skylines are everywhere too.

Your best bet is to buy the frt clip and then buy the other parts off a JDM store. Trust me it would be nice to have the real deal in the states..
