Default How do you guys drive your slammed rides?

I just dumped my del sol. I've been driving for a week now. I don't see how you guys do it. I'm scared to go over the littlest hump. Or even get on the freeway with the drop off bridges. Has anyone got any tricks? I'm installing a camber kit tommoroow for my -4* of camber in the front!!!

When pulling onto or off of speed bumps or whatever, go at an angle. And watch out for potholes.

Just hit everything at an angle. The short wheelbase of a hatchback also helps a lot.

I gotta hit my driveway at a crazy angle and mad slow...which duzn't help cuz i live on a kinda buzy street. I love driving down the street (sitting upright.....I don't thug it low and to the side like the 16 yr olds who THINK they're cool) and seeing sum kid nail an extremely huge bump and/or pothole just cuz he couldn't see the f@#$%^g road in front of him cuz he's "lampin'". I just laugh my *** off. Dude, just do like the old school, lowriders, 6 fo's and slammin do's ......... take it slow on the streets. You payed good hard earned jing on ur ride...slow down and let the honies peep it. Then when you hit the on-ramp...light-em-up!!!!
LOOK AT THE ******' WHEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you have to understand that not all cars seen in the pictures SLAM are going to be driven that way.
Most people would slam it and snap a few shots then put back up again.

I remember when I got my spoon lip on... I was so careful, I try avoiding roads that I know it has speed bump or uneven ground. I skip most shops, store, mall, gas station that have steep drive way!! I drive only on good surfaced roads!!

Thats how I keep my slam EG and spoon lip in good shape for a few year then when I accidently back my eg and the Spoon lip got caught on the way out on the curb. I totally got careless and went throught very roads and places I have been avoiding

Driving so low that you sacrifice all function is absolutely retarded.

you gotta be seriously low to be goin as slow as i think some of you are.. on my daily EG its lowered enough to have absolutely no wheel gap to fender. i go slow on driveways and such and no matter what car im in i go slow on speed bumps.. as shitty as SF roads are i dont slow down that much..

good dampers that are matched to your spring.. so get some coilovers.. not that cheap **** though.. quality stuff.. i have Tein Flex on my EG and adjusting the dampers to a softer setting it gives me a similar ride to my S2000.

I have no finger gap whats so ever but i try to keep an eye out all the time. But just like anything else...i do it to the point where im like "forget it" and then i come across a crazy pothole. Here in NYC i have to make special arrangements to go places that i know have crazy potholes.

I had my ride slammed when i first got my coilovers but I didn't have a problem with bottoming out. Instead, I had ridiculous amounts of wheel rub, EVERYWHERE! I couldn't even crank the wheel without it rubbing and as you can imagine the rubbing while racing was ludicrous. So i raised it back up and now have holes rubbed in not only the fender liner but also metal rubbed off the inside of the wheel well.

mang i jus drive in a zig zag pattern at low speeds. that way i know i'll never take a bump head on...unless of course the bump is at an angle!

For some reason the po-pos are always makin me do weird stuff and walk down lines and all these weird tests. i guess they jus jealous of my ride and my zig zags look so natural they think i walk that way too... i dunno.
