looks good on there, how much they set you back??
If I could only find some rnr's for a good price or even some z speeds. But the rp's look close to em and fairly light. I would paint them black but thats me though. Sometime I have to come to that track and talk to you, I want to hear your ES exhuast.

Those RPO1's ROCK.

I say GET 'EM!!!!!! they look clean, light, and sleek, very functional too... not the lightest for the cost though, but I do not see a lot of these rims, they are nice lookers.
that pic you have is a good one, very nice setup.
I say go for 'em.

yah that SHU-4 civic = heavy and slow.

Oh, I see. The Enkei RP01 hubcap wanna-be's weigh 18 pounds. The ricey Tenzo R Shu-4's weigh 19.5 pounds. A pound and a half is going to make CiViC's "heavy and slow".

Better stick with the hubcaps...

Yes, thank you!!! I'm glad to see there is at least one sane person on this site besides me.

Your Nippon Racing Formula 1 17's weigh 20.8 pounds. IMO, they look better than the Enkei RP01's, but not as good as the Tenzo R Sho-4's. Enkei RP01's are porkers too, my friends. Sure, they weigh a pound or two less than good looking wheels, but, why install 17's on your ride at all, if they look like hubcaps from your local Sears automotive??? Just to save a few ounces??? Please!!!

Let's face it, bros. The reason we put 17's on our rides is for looks. They don't do a damn thing for performance. This is NOT an opinion. It a matter of fact.

If you were really interested in performance, you would be running lightweight 13-inch ALLOYS, not 17's. Gimme a break...

BlackDeuceCoupe, it don't matter if the rims are on a HX or any other model. The body of the coupe are all the same.

Yes. That is 1.5 pounds of UNSPRUNG and ROTATING weight. It makes a lot more difference that 1.5 pounds would sound like...

13's will get you great performance...in a straight line. Go see how stable a car with 13's feels at 90 mph in the twisties.

You guys are in La La Land. The typical CiViC is tapped out at 90 mph. That's as fast, or faster, than most CiViCs will go --- period. Now, tell me the truth. How often do you drive your CiViC wide open "in the twisties?" Once in a lifetime??? Never??? Only in your mind??? 13's would be a much better choice for the street --- performance-wise.

99.9% of CiViC owners are street racers. That is, they only care how quickly they can go from one stoplight to another and/or how fast they can navigate around the speed-bumps in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Forget the 13-inch wheels. Racing Hart CP-035 15-inchers weigh 7.9 pounds. That's well under half the weight of the Enkei RP01's.

If you were to tell me there is a difference between 18-pound Enkei RP01's and 8-pound Racing Hart CP-035's [10 pounds of "unsprung rotating weight"] then I would agree. But, if you're going to install 18-pound porkers on your ride anyway, why not pick something that weighs a little more, but looks good???

Very very nice...RP01 is one of my favorite all the type. Lots of ppl are still using them on their 1600cc size cars in HK, some even use them to race in Macau and ATCC series.

15" will be the best since one of my friend's white EK4 sedan in HK is running 16". I think they're ok, just a little bit too big. But still good...light, good quality and they're original!

What the hell are you talking about?! 18 LB RP01s?!

The 16x6.5 weigh 14.5 LBS amd the 16x7 weigh 15.8 LBS. Thats goig to make a noticable differance over 19.5 LB 17" rims.

What's to understand??? Now, answer the question!!!

Don't know what Civic you've driven, but mine with hit 115 with relatively little trouble. 90 is a piece of cake!. I drive my civic in twisties all the time! Like several times a day. Hell yeah I want good handling!

99.9% of CiViC owners are street racers. That is, they only care how quickly they can go from one stoplight to another and/or how fast they can navigate around the speed-bumps in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Great. Way to stereotype us. Once you get some EVIDENCE to back your statement up, come back and see me. That was quite a broad statement for someone who has nothing to back it up.

If you were to tell me there is a difference between 18-pound [16-pound according to hxman -bdc] Enkei RP01's
If you had actually taken the time to READ the thread, you would see that I have posted all the weights of the different sizes of RP-01 wheels taken directly off Enkei's website. The 16X7's are 15.8 lbs, just as HX_Guy said.

I should also mention this. Yes, there is much more weight benefit to be had in going to CP-035's instead of RP-01's. But there is also a SLIGHT difference in something called the PRICE. If you can afford to pay $400 a rim, more power to you, but most of us live in the real world and have rather shallow pockets. This forces us to compromise, and so we will take whatever weight reduction we can afford.

I see that you are new to Honda-Tech. I ask that you please respect the knowledge of those who have more experience than you. You have 8 posts on this board. HX_Guy has 1,608 and I have 568 and you are telling us that we are wrong without providing any evidence to back it up. It will make this board much more enjoyable for everyone.

Look BDC...go to http://www.enkei.com...then click on wheels...then on the RPO1s..and then on sizes. You will see what they weigh...not even the 17s weigh 18 LBS...and I want to get 16s anyway.

Now...yes CP-035s are light as hell...but they cost a **** load...which I dont have.
And yes 13s would be better then 16s...but I also want some style. I personally think 16s look the best on a Civic...thats my personal opinion. 15s look to small...and 17s look to big.

And Im gettin ga good deal on some used 16" RP01s with tires...so thats why Im getting them. You dont have to buy them...go buy 17" Shu's if you want..its your car.

And BTW...I dont have the "average" Civic that does "99 MPH"...unless of course you mean 99 MPH through the traps at the drag strip.

There is a guy on Ebay selling a brand new set of Rpo-1 in 16x7 he started the bid at 250 and that's where they are at now... Doesn't specify what offset though. Here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...520317&r=0&t=0

I was going to bid but I don't want 16's looking for 15's

Okay, everyone who believes this guy drives his CiViC 115-MPH through the twisties several times a day, please bow to your monitor...

Oh, gosh, I'm sorry! I didn't know who I was talking to. 568 posts, huh?

By the way, didn't HX_Guy [1608 posts, thus 3X smarter than you] ask for "honest opinions?" Does that mean I should lie??? Like I do 115 in my CiViC several times a day???

Well HX_Guy don't worry I really think u chose the right wheels. At least u support something nice and cheap which is original. Not Rota slipstream or fake Mugen wheels etc...

Btw I really like how your car looks...very clean...nothing fancy
