Default honda profiling

so why can cops randomly(and yes i mean randomly. like when cruising doing the speed limit. being a law abiding citzen with no stupid fart cans or tint with current registration and front/rear plates) just pull you over? i live in cali and the situation has become increasingly worse. i know the "probable cause" rule blah blah blah but do they really have the right to light you up and demand the hood be popped if you were doing nothing wrong?
for example, i work a graveyard shift often times and will get off at 5 or so in the morning to cruise home and crash out. today i was heading up the road doing 43 in a 45(i frequently check do to the situation that is about to occur) when a police cruiser is doing about 60ish down the road on the opposite side. i glance at the rearview mirror and see him hitting the breaks so i thought **** here it comes. he pulls me over and demands the hood be popped. i politely asked the reason for me being pulled over was and his response was a missing passengerside mirror?wtf?
if there are any officers or peoples familiar with the law roaming the forums please clarify

it was literally one of the dumbest excuses i have ever heard. you legally only have to have two mirrors anyways. i swear this **** gets annoying quick

Theres NO way I could live in Cali due to this BS. He just pulled something out of his *** so he wouldnt look stupid and get caught up in an uncomfortable conversation. Explcitive pigs. They do it here to, but not as bad, I was in a pack of cars running 7-10mph over the speed limit in a 45. Guess who got pulled and got the ticket... hmmmm...

Did he write you for anything?

i know how you feel bro, i got pulled over once for my passenger headlight supposedly being out, when I could clearly see that both were on. He even tried to find weed in my car which there was none. After letting me go with no ticket i pulled into a neighborhood got out checked my lights and just like i thought they were both on. A cop can make up any excuse he wants when he pulls you over, and unfortunately you have to be his bitch for the duration of the traffic stop.

****ing pigs, all day everyday with them. If they asked you to pop open your hood, just tell them, they have no reason to. Ask him "Was i racing?" "Was I speeding?" and "why does my hood need to be popped just because i dont a passenger side mirror?" They cant be able to get away with **** like this.

well number 1 were you missing a mirror? if so did the car come stock with it?
2 YES he can ASK (key word) to you to pop your hood, but YOU DONT HAVE TO! but inless your trying to hind something that isnt carb legal just do it. but i would have politely told him to go **** himself.
being nice to cop is always a good thing, but if he is mean to you, and he asks to search your car, or pop your hood say NO.
i got pulled over for a front plate, he wanted to pop my hood he was a dick i said no, took it to court cop showed up judge threw the ticket out, cop so mad, he was yelling at me when i left. and i told him to go **** his fat *** mother and he tired to arresset me. i walked away laughing.

YOU HAVE RIGHTS! USE THEM! AND LEARN THEM!
also whatch out most cops are being trained for what to look for these days

i have had my red '95 coupe for 4 years, for the first 2 years i owned it, i was pulled over every 30-45 days, without exception, no one believed me, or thought i was speeding or something, my car was bone stock except for trans , i have an si trans (bought car cheap cause trans was bad)

one day my sister was with me, cop pulled me over, i asked 'what do i have the pleasure of this visit' and he said i didnt come to a complete stop at stop sign (which i hadnt been at a stop sign since before i saw him at a wawa (conveinence store)... which if you go straight from the wawa to where he pulled me over there is a stop sign but i went a different way (i was delivering newspapers) and when i told him i never went through that intersection, had me get out, did a sobriety test, and 'ASKED' to search my car, to which i said 'no' i have seen how they search cars and i didnt have 3 hours to put all the newspapers back together and back in bags, my delivery area was around where all the papers were dropped for the extended area, so my DM saw me pulled over, she did a u-turn in the middle of the street cop, gave her a sobriety test, and then a ticket for illegal turn (yeah this was like 3am, road was REAL busy, 0 cars went past in the 40mins we were there) and told me to be more 'mindful' of my driving...

and to add insult to injury, called my sister 'sir', she didnt take it too well...

pixelated.

my friend got pulled over when he was leaving school like 2 years ago at lunch and the cop gave him a ticket for runing a red light, there was like 20-30 people in the parking lot with 2 principlas that saw it and he completly stoped. if he didnt he would have got hit by a 18 wheeler...

took it to court judge threw it out.

I got pulled over a while ago after doing a U turn (legal). He asked 'do you know why I pulled you over' 'looks like you got a little out of control on that U turn.' I was like WTF. I was about to go into a huge rant about FWD and understeer and how theres no way I was sliding but I was just like yeah, i guess. Then he searched me and the car.

you have the right to deny a search as long as there's nothing in plain view of the officer. They have to get a warrant to continue the search

But if you deny the search and it's 3 a.m. when the judge is asleep and cannot be reached for a simple car search warrant; what happens then?

I heard they call a k9 unit to sniff your car but what happens when the dog finds nothing? They just let you go?

WTF is going on over on the west coast? Damn I drive an EG hatch with a USDM B18C1 with no cat, just test pipe (my exhaust could wilt a flower from 50 feet) and TEIN basics set pretty f*in low (I scrape all over the place) and I've NEVER had a problem with law enforcement. I even got a two year exemption from Maryland emissions because my car was too low to go over the rollers. They just issued me a waiver. Enjoy that Cali weather, fellas, but I think I might just be happy here. Go east coast!

That kinda of sht is what makes me want to get out of the honda game, but i can't. I got pulled over a few years back and the cop actually measured the height of my car trying to tell me i was too low. Searched my car for drugs, pulled my subs out of the box and just f'd my car up. Great first time profiling and it continues to get dumber over the years. Just got to love those ***got *** pigs!!!!!

Cali suck when it comes to the laws, you guys in the other states dont know how lucky you have it, we have to go there all the BS of CARB stickers and even if you do have them they still have the right to send you to the ref to prove that the Sticker is legit, its amazing what that piece of paper is worth. and for the few that say get out of cali, well thats easier said then done for most of us.

Also cop are cracking down and issueing more tickets since the state budget keeps getting worse. a buddy of mine got pulled over for 1mph over the speed limit complete BS but thats the CHP for ya. They have nothing better to do then harass honda and a few other imports.

sucks.. the other night I'm leaving my aunt's house at 11pm on the weekend. The neighbor hood has million dollar mansions. I'm scooting around in my white eg sedan at like 20mph and i drive by an unmarked Florida Highway Patrol charger; as i drive by he turns on his lights ,then he pulls out behind me and follows me for 1/4 mile, and pulls me over.. hey says my tints are too dark ( all 30%)... then goes on about how i look suspicious and how my white ( LED white) license plate lights have to be amber... ect ect.. its was total b.s.

my eg is lowered on black rims, 4300k hid's and yellow fogs

here in Florida they don't ask you to pop the hood.. which is a relief
