A swap. A nice H22 would put you well on your way.

but on that note a little more research, with alot of SEARCH.

You can but anything in there and mod it decently with enough money. For 230whp N/A I would recommend swapping in either a K20 or K24 w/ K20 head then modding a bit from there (I/H/E, cams, K-Pro, etc).

for the 3rd time its vtec, doesnt seem like you have a grasp on how the engines work, you really need to read up more, just turbo the d16 and be done with it...

Hmmm, I thought B-series head aren't interchangeable with D-series motors... and vtech? -.-" .... Then a bolt on header and already you're expecting somewhere near 230Whp? Wowwwww... You have some far-fitched goals.... Research more buddy, otherwise you'll just get replies that won't answer your questions because of the fact that your questions are somewhat not possible.

Serious Flame material here kid. Very open question. Do you want that at the wheels? Torque matter to ya? Or do you want your dyno graph to look like crap?

In all seriousness, turbo the beast and get it cheaply. Or be a man and swap the beast of a k20. How much money do you have? LS Vtec is normally swapped for boost not for NA because of it's low compression. All motor you should go high compression like civic type-r b16, or b18c1 or b18c5. Look around for what kids are doing first. Look at the "what swaps are available for my civic" thread at the top of this forum.

i disagree with some of the stuff you wrote, swapping a k20 doesnt make you a man fist of all. Secondlyls/vtecs can be very good for NA with more torque than gsr's. As for the all motor part, i wouldnt get b16b it isnt worth it IMO. As for b18c's they are good candidates but the technology is getting old just like my d-series, there are much better options coughk20cough.

All around i would swap a k20 if you are going either way, although it is the most expensive and most time consuming swap...

Wow guy that was exactly what I said. Gsr or b16 for teh N/A. Paying someone $400 bucks for a turbo is kinda easy. But an NA gsr swap you do yourself shows prowess of a "tuner"

what the hell are you talking about? someone can just as easily pay someone to build an NA vehicle as an FI vehicle, your argument is moot. I built my engine, i built my turbo kit and i tuned my car does that make me less of a car enthusiast because i didn't go NA? what a ******* dumbshit

230hp with a sohc. that's a pretty big number for a single cam. Even just turboing the sob won't get you all the way up there without blowing your motor.

#1: either rebuild the motor to handle up to 230+

#2: swap a diff motor into it.

not much of a choice there eh.
