Honda B series Nut & Bolt Spec's or Part #'s
hi well i have a shell and i bought a long block and tranny and mount and etc all separate , so i don't have the bolts to bolt the transmission to the block , don't have the bolt to bolt the mount bracket to the Tanny, bolt to bolt the mount to the body ,the bolts to bolt the T bracket to the motor or the bolts to bolt the Dizzy to the head , or the nut to bolt the driver side mount bracket to the stud thats bolted to the block , or the flywheel bolts, or the bolts to bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel . does anyone know the specs for these bolts and nuts so i can buy them from a local hardware store , or does anyone know anyone who sells a complete kit , or am i going to have to suck it it up and pay the expensive prices at the dealer ,id really appreciate it , if some one can give me the specs and lengths on what i need .
PS i will buy the bolts from someone if they have a old swap laying around they can pull these nuts and bolts off .the car is a 97 civic sedan that I'm doing a B swap in

Well the good news is that you have all the big stuff. What I would personally do is go to to a honda online parts site like www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and basically go through exactly what you need. Then go and either find someone at honda/acura that can get you dealer prices or order from the website. The nuts and bolts shouldn't be that bad....I estimated on my build that I would spend about $100 on the Honda OEM parts. I was just a little over.

yea if i had sohc bolts id use them but i dont haha , and i live in the middle of no where its almost impossiable to find a honda with the motor still in the car at the junkyards here, the owners pull all the motors and put them on the shelf , so noone can pull random pieces off the motor so the will only sell the motors complete, its a dumb concept for the customer but a good one for the scrap ard owner , i dont get it because a bunch of company make these sets for chevys , fords , any motorcycle u want u can buy a complete hardware set , but no honda civic ones anywhere lol
